Re: Jodo's Jack Sparrow WIP Thread - Intro to my effects
Jodo, love the dreads on your wig!! I made mine the same way as Capn first time around, but have considered updating my costume before next year. Can you tell me where the dreads came from or what they are made of?

Aye Veach, it's a Mazie. However it's bare minimum. I got it a steal from a cursed ebay seller for $117. Turns out I was VERY lucky to have even received it.
Padawan, right now I have a pretty good idea for each scource on evrything I need, but I'd love to see some of your stuff. ![]() Also, UM...Is Paulipoos going to make a linen shirt? I've not heard anything more about it. |

Re: Jodo's Jack Sparrow WIP Thread - Intro to my effects
Yes Paulette said she is going to make them. As a matter of fact she lists them as being offered in her description. You just need to ask her!
"ALSO IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN BUYING A JACK SPARROW PIRATE SHIRT IN LINEN I AM MAKING THEM IN THE LINEN MATERIAL AS WELL. HOWEVER, LINEN COST MORE SO THE BIDDING STARTS AT $60.00 AND BUY IT NOW PRICE IS $70.00 PLUS SHIPPING. IF INTERESTED EMAIL ME AND I CAN LIST IT AND THE CORRECT SIZE FOR YOU. THANK YOU!" |

Oh dear Jodo, your gonna have to buy me dinner first
the pants i had i dont use anymore, i grew out of them and i haven't the finds to make new ones as of late my first pare could have been better, ill post them, but know when i make my new pair i want to use different fabric and do some mods on the pattern so i can have the buckles on the legs and what not for the longest time ive been using old gray dress pants, which you will see in the pictures actually work well and have pockets XP |

Re: Jodo's Jack Sparrow WIP Thread - Intro to my effects
For those watching their Pirate Pocket aka wallet I recommend the costumebase pieces NOT because I own them but others have said that hey are OK for the budget. Also once you weather them they turn out to pretty decent pieces.

Re: Jodo's Jack Sparrow WIP Thread - Intro to my effects
I've never had to buy anyone dinner before!
(Just slip 'em a $20. )Padawan, I actualy have a pair of cargo pants from when I was big(ger) that I might use. They're an excellent color for COTBP, but they need to be taken up, and the bum needs to be smaller in 'em.

Re: Jodo's Jack Sparrow WIP Thread - Intro to my effects
the costumebase pants are very good for the price - just make sure you get the brown ones. They feel and wear like real pants - and they are tough stuff, you won't feel like you are wearing a "costume" the only thing wrong are the buttons and nobody sees those anyway

Re: Jodo's Jack Sparrow WIP Thread - Intro to my effects
were can i get one
its about time i upgrade mine and im sure that his costume will be pretty much the same its kind of his look he may add a thing or two in his travels but some things he will never give up ie: his hat a coat for sure but im sure we wont have to worry about to much modification or switching out Disney has an established look for the characters now so much so that when Barbarossa came back at the end of the second movie we knew it was him the moment we saw the boots they want is to recognize them even if we were looking at the characters back from a mile away |
