Update time. Biceps and forearms completed. I will be going out today after work to pick up some velcro, epoxy and chicago screws to get these pieces joined.
Currently working on Abs and Cod piece. Goal is to finish these by tonight.

Looking siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick. Good work on the bis
Abs complete! This, to me, seemed like it was the easiest to build. I just made sure that I bent all the needed curves prior to gluing. Seemed to work out fine.
And here are the completed abs, with dog. The taped side is where the velcro will be applied.
And the backside:
On to the next one, on to the next!

This is really astonishing.
Did you used the same scaled for everyone of them?
Yea it's pretty tough to get tix these days. I was only able to score passes for this year because of the onsite preregistration at last year's con. I ended up waiting in line outside the Hilton from 4 am to 10.
Yup! So far I've used the same scaling for all the pieces. I'm using a different scale for the thighs though.
Happy 4th of July everyone!
I haven't been updating as much as I would like, since I've been both busy at work and fervently slaving over this suit. I happy to say that I've finished foaming up a good portion of the lower torso. I have the cod piece, thighs and shins completed. So far, the shins have proven to be the most difficult to piece together. See below for some pictures!
Here are the thighs. They fit a little tight, but nothing I can't deal with. I've made a note to size them up a little on my next go around.
And here are the dreaded shins. It took me about 2 and half days to complete. Many hours spent trying to get the pieces to fit together, especially at the lower portion of the piece.
Here are the parts placed together. Can wait to put on the entire suit!
And last, but not least, the cod piece. Easiest part to make so far. It was awkward trying it on. The fiancee said it looked like a chastity belt hahahaa.
And that's it for the update! Currently, I've got the helmet and neck seal going. If I have time, I will try and get the hands and boot completed.
Set off many a fireworks and stay safe! Wouldn't want any melted ironmen roaming the streets.![]()
Impressive! Good work bro
That is quite good work. Speed build or no! I have faith you'll be suited up at comicon! Have fun bro!
Thanks guys!
Got my Zentai spandex suit in from Amazon today, so I decided to take quick pic with some of the parts on.
I finished the neck seal last night, working on the helmet today. More progress later!
Thanks! I'll be using Plastidip to seal it, since it's quicker. Time's running out!
Quick question: as far as the boots go, should I build around a shoe, or do I just wear it alone?
It's looking fantastic man! Good job on the shins too, those things were such a pain...
I've been pretty busy trying to get this suit done that I haven't had any time to post any of the progress. I have taken a lot pictures along the way, so when I have time, I will post the details. I am currently painting the parts. I'm doing a coat of Plastidip, followed by a coat of adhesion promoter and then paint. Here's a pic that about sums up where im at.
Two days till comicon!
