fingaz,thats looking awsome man!
thanks delray, still waiting for your screen debut
thanks mate,im watchin yr build
thanks, doin a great job on your helmet
thanks,keep watching its gettin there
thanks,i have no issues with scale,im just a short arse!!!ive built it to default scale, then added a few inches to the cod,abs,chest/back so it will fit various waist/upper body sizes.
been trial fit on someone 5.10 n looks fine.
raising the insole of the boot will give xtra height, but the pivot/knee will remain in the same place, unless you remove a small section from the calf where the flaps sit.
unfortunately my legs just aint long enuff, but at a later date i'll mold them and remove a few inches
update sunday![]()
can't wait for the updates!![]()
thanks
you dont have to sundays come early
received a parcel monday from italy from Gemini Khan
when i opened it,a big smile covered my face
absolutely beautiful piece of craftsmanship, infact bloody superb.
well that was it suit on hold n helmet time(felt like a kid with his first model kit) .refine my helmet at a later date.
so a few hrs here a few hrs there been spent this week,to get this beauty finished.

WOW, that helmet is amazing...
Can you provide details of where you got it from please ? How much ?
Wow bro amazing job on this.
How the h@!! did you get the clear coat so damn shiny? what is the magic?
Very impressive work! The only thing that worries me with the Pepakura>fiberglass>bondo method is the sheer weight of the armour afterwards.
The helmet turned out beautiful. Perfect finish on it. What was wrong with the one you made? I thought it looked great too!
i'm reading this from my cell phone...no words...u did an incredible job! Gotta go get my jaw...wow
That Helmet is amazing in every way Fingaz seriously!! I really dont know how you do it butg ill have to come over from Ireland for some lessons haha
thanks mate,check http://www.therpf.com/f13/iron-man-m...pieces-121376/
thanks,
3 coats:1 light coat for grip,1 wetter coat and then a heavy wet coat to the point where it could almost run(but this time it didn't),for that gloss finish,n a lot of practice
thanks,it is heavy but i plan on casting in urethane when done
cheers rowdy, having looked through Gemini Khans thread and seeing how anally retentive he was(sorry fulvio only joking)it was one of those must haves.when he set up his alpha studios site in jan,i made the 3rd comment put me down for 1.
my helmet which looks more aggresive, due to smaller forehead, eyes, which im gonna rectify.
cheers mate,no pizza for you, if you dont get that jaw back.

Great work man, simply amazing what paint did u use?
Just gets better and better bro, I LOVE the colors got a rich deep color how did you achieve that effect? I only ask because when i get to this stage i don't want to paint my helmet and it come out like CRAP lol. probably will though seeing how this is my first pep![]()
keep it up i love the updates keep them coming
Looking well good mate, that paintwork looks a lot like your wearing a Ferrari Transformer!!! Keep up the pace and It'll force me to get my creaky old finger out:
<----------jelous!
looks mint, realy good paint work aswell
curious if you could post the type of paint used as well as how did you do the black accent lines?? sooo clean =D
great...simply great.
It looks soooo shiny...i love it![]()
thanks jayjayn,ironman99
the paint ive used is like you find on hotrods/bikes
its a 3 stage candy pearl can be tricky to apply.
1 the bright silver basecoat (straight forward to apply)
2 red candy pearl over the silver,(the tricky one)because this is translucent you apply 3/4/5 coats but the overlap as you,re spaying has to be bang on!!!!! otherwise the red will look patchy dark n light stripes, when the sun hits it.
3 the lacquer
the accent line are cleaned with a needle file,n rubbed over with black stove polish
thanks cyberpaddy66,come on get your finger out,is it still cluttering up the desktop?
thanks mate.
thanks rad
also a big thanks to xrobot, been doin a little rework to my shoulder bells with his popcan idea, sheer genius, look better now

shoulder bells have both been reworked, detailing added and new pivots added.
next was the elbow guard, added the details and new pivots added.great improvement, the elow guards n shoulder bells look finished now
cleaned up the forearm, added a little more definition.
just need to get some silcone bought,to get the arms molded n cast.
Your skills just bother me! LOL
