Here is some pics of the chest piece i have been working on, it still needs some spot filler and a wet sand before i mold it, kinda been busy in between a few other projects, also going to cast the new wearable neck plating this weekend!

also forgot to mention, the bolts that go in the top of each corner of the chest will be added into the cast copy, they will be functional in holding the chest to the back piece on the inside of the suit, via adjustable harness,

one more thing the arc reactor is one of the ones that Starx mentioned about in his thread, they are from a seller out of the UK on ebay.

oh BTW, I did notice it earlier, but forgot to mention it, if you guys are working on a Pep and you're in the sanding stage of the Bondo, don't forget to "block" it. That yellow piece holding a chest piece up is a sanding block. Learn how to do that, and it give you awesome results.

thanks for all the kind words guys, and yes a sanding block is a must to achieve flat faces and sharp lines, also if you mark all your angles with a line of tape and sand along it with give great results. another weapon of choice is a popsicle stick with some sandpaper wraped on it for the smaller tighter areas where you cant use a sanding block. I am hoping to cast my new wearable neck plating this weekend, it is wider and i have added a larger spine piece on the back that with mesh up with the back section of the helmet for a more fluid look

Also before i mold the chest piece i stiil have to add the small pieces that go into the rib slots in the chest, just have to find something that will achieve the same look, if you guys have any suggestions i would love to here them.

just form it out of cardstock like a Pep. You got skills I'm confident that you can pull it off.

Right off this sight, the upper body files are from dancin_fool, if you go to his thread he has them posted, and seeing as he has not yet released the lower body, i am going to use a mix of robo's files and clarx files, robo's files can be found in his thread aswell, if there is any specific file that you need and cant find just PM me

That chest is coming out fantastic Kagn. Nice sharp lines.

Did you use a needle file for the detail lines on the side of the chest?
I think that if you look hard enough you will find those intricate pieces at the hardware store. You may have to modify a little, but I think you can handle that with ease.

As far as using a block it definitely helps. It is the only way, IMO, especially in auto body repair, to get a panel straight. Also, use a guide coat of a darker color, just mist it on, you don't need alot, Let it dry, then wet sand it to reveal high/low spots, This will show you where you need to add more filler or sand more away. Repeat as needed. This process will ensure that you have a nice even panel.

Also, here are a couple of leg files if anyone needs them, one is DF's thigh that Zabana modified to have a hinge point for the calf, and the other is Zabana's calf file itself.

Ok got the first cast out of the new neck mold, I have increased the width of the neck and added a different spine piece on the back that is more like the rest of the spine itself and will also mate up with the back section of the helmet. Ok time to get going on the back armor now!

Question on the helmet though.. How come you decided to go with the angled line on the side rather than the rounded curve like in the movie?
