    Jun 18, 2012 - Iron Man helmet help? #1

Got an issue with my helmet. Just got the thing together and there's this offset on both sides of the faceplate like the main body of the helmet is too wide. Any ideas on how to fix this before I go to town and fix it the old fashioned way and modify the faceplate a bit? I'd really rather not add material to the faceplate to widen it since there's detail there that would be a ***** to put back in. Thanks guys!

It does'nt appear to be offset by much. I would recommend taking a blowdryer and heating up the area, it will soften the resin, allowing you to push it where you want it carefully and when it cools it should return to a hard sgtate.
edit: you don't want to heat up the faceplate so take it off first if you can, you just want to heat up a small area of the main portion of the helmet
