I'd like to be able to do the white suit, I usualy see similar suits at Goodwill, and with the mask, it would be an easy costume to do. I just wanted some pics. to take with me....You know....Just in case.

You should be able to find a mask like that online. Its a stock character mask in the style of Commedia Del Arte. Possibly a Zanni, but could also be a Capitan, or a Pantalone depending on the design liberties taken by the maker. Easy to make from paper mache (one of the standard methods for maskmaking).

I'd say we'd fit in with those guys.

EDIT - Anyone know if there are US posters (or at least English posters of those?) And what font they used for them?

It was a decent movie, I lost a little bit of interest in the second half. I think you can find the material the suit was made of at B Black in the LA garment district.

    I saw it on Friday.

I really wanted to like this movie, but...
The lead actor died with less then half of his scenes done, and it shows.

    Poor Heath,
    Spoiler:
He alway played roles where he dies at the end... except, they didn't film Tony's before his (Heath's) death and having the last time you see him being before he goes thru the mirror and not seeing him again was weird.

    ^big spoiler^

I would have liked to have seen the movie as it was originally suppose to be.
Maybe on a second viewing it will be better, but I donno, the last half was really blah.

    RIP Heath.

Possibly. You want to look for a linen. The suit is definitely linen.

I have searched to the ends of the internet for an off-white or cream colored linen pin stripe suite and can't find anything close!

That's going to be a tough off-the-rack find. Shouldn't be terribly difficult to find a similar suit in linen, but to find a 3-piece... That's the kicker. 3-pieces are just starting to become popular again, but they haven't yet flooded the market.

I still need to make a few modifications as you can see in the comparison shot.

And yeah, I know the tie is an ascot in the movie, I just liked this one for its pattern and texture.

In addition to those, I think the brow needs to be more pronounced - furrowed down a bit more in the center and up a bit more over the eyes. Looks excellent, though! Did you make it from scratch?

I did not build it myself. I modified a traditional Italian made "zanni" plaster mask. Once I get it to my liking I'll add a clear coat and post complete costume pics. Still on the hunt for a suit that will work.
