How would I dye this?

So I am planning on buying this vest for an Arkham City Robin costume. I will need to dye it a dark red, so how would I do this? New Motorcycle Bike Cycle Work Black Reflective Vest:Amazon:Clothing

All I can see on that page is a teensy image.

But you're gonna need magic to dye black into any color. Paint it.

What is the material? I have some experience in dyes. I just did some leather dying this past summer.

Use fabric paint or spray on plastidip.

Sorry for the bad image, I'm on my iPod. And in the description it says that it is made of mesh

At autozone they have a vinyl/fabric spray on dye. Comes in a few different colors and under $10 a can would probably finish that vest no problem.
