I will begin work next week on a batwoman costume to be ready for SDCC, and needed a few pointers on how to make a lifecast (particularily for the mask and belt) I plan on doing a sculpt of these using Chavant clay(a friend of mine suggested this medium). I am a complete Newb at lifecasting and sculpting with clay, so any suggestions would help me greatly.
For the body suit, I was planning on using wet look spandex,or leather as well as for the outer part of the cape. Not sure what to use for the bat symbol or the inner cape part... I've linked a couple of photos(bruce timm and terry dodson) to show what I was looking for... If anyone has suggestions for better fabric to use, I'd appreciate it.
