    Jun 10, 2012 - Hawkeye almost done update 11-6 #1

After i finished my Captain America TFA costume i decided to make a Hawkeye costume.

Im almost finished with the costume but im out of spraypaint so i cant paint the bow and quiver.

i still need to take a picture of the pants and his glove. what do you guys think, i know its not that screen accurate

In my opinion screen accuracy doesn't matter; it is capturing the essence of the character that matters and I think you have really done that here. Often times I see someone spend $3,000 on a perfect screen accurate costume versus one that is $300 that captures the style of the character and it is often better. I really like this costume and I am impressed by the craftsmanship. The only thing I have to say is that the red looks a little bright and the quiver looks a little big, but it could just be the pictures and look better in person. This is one of if not the best Hawkeye costume I have ever seen. Nice job.

I'm really liking your build so far and think it's very true to character. Can't wait to see it finished and fabulous job thus far!

    Looking good.

I am working on a quiver for personal archery use. I wanted to have a cool looking quiver out on the range. Mine will be a little shorter than yours. Not cause I am aisian LOL

I looked at the reference pics and guestimated it to be about 24inches long.

It looks really good. I'd like to see more pics of the vest - perhaps the back and some close ups? Pants too.

The quiver looks good but it is a little too big. I'd shorten it a bit. All in all, really impressive look - I hope my Hawkeye turns out half as well!
