Halo: Master Chief (okay, forgive me for asking)

I have a feeling that this is a stupid question, but I really couldn't find anything crazy useful.

So, since my coworker has been bugging me about making him or getting him a Master Chief costume, it got me to thinking.... I don't have the money at this point, but it is something I am thinking about doing sometime.

So, is there a Resident Expert on the RPF about making a Master Chief costume replica?

Where can I begin? Who has suggestions, cause I know NOTHING except what I see on the game when I play. (and I play badly, to others great delight!)

Thanks for the info, and any and all links and info is greatly appreciated. Maybe this is something I can put together over time, like a Pulse Rifle!

You guys are fantastic. Actually, my coworker called and woke me up this morning. He says that we are "Both gonna make Master Chief costumes, and I'm not taking no for an answer!" I told him I have literally like 6 different costumes I HAVEN'T finished yet - and then got made fun of BRUTALLY for telling him about my Batman-Penguin costume...

So, I may end up making this one after all..... It really is quite awesome..... But, I will NOT use that Master Chief gun. I will have a Pulse Rifle with my costume!!!!!

Anyway, off I go to work, then to research the Halo costumes! If anyone has any other advice, chime in here!

If you are interested in making MC armor check out the Pepekura section of the 405th. It is a cheap and easy way of getting some armor.
