Getting started on a Vader Costume

Hey Guys,

I have read lots, saw lots and even built my own Vader costume in the past.

But I really want to slowly build my own Vader over a course of like 6 months to a year. Or less. Depends on funds.

I am going for an ESB or ROTJ look.

What is the best spent money, where should I start? eBay?

What about the helmet itself. Buy a kit? Modify a rubies.

I'd love to hear your thoughts, opinions.

Have you checked with the 501st? They have a lot of Sith Lords.
May be another source of info.

Depends what you're going for...uber accurate of the screen...pretty close? That will dictate what you'll be able to afford and find. A Rubies can be a good base for an OT Vader with a lot of work but a DP Classic would be a better starting point. Ultimately, one of the better fanmade f-glass helmets would be where I would start. Shoulder armor, chest and belt boxes, boots, gloves, cods, capesets can all be found here at the SLD or on ebay. Personally I would limit myself to here and the SLD for parts. Be prepared to blow a wad of dough for good stuff.
