FireFall Dreadnaught Battleframe

Hello to all,

I have been playing a lot of FireFall as of late. I have decided to build a Dreadnaught battleframe. I looked for lots of HD and fan art references and found one that i want to make. I will be making modifications to the originals to put my own spin on them. Im not looking to get this done quickly. I just finished my first Bachelors degree and I'm starting my second one in a few weeks, so i wont have time to work on it a lot. I will post updates when i can. If there are any questions on anything feel free to email me with them.

So far i have designed a assault rifle for the suit. Now all that is left is to unfold it in Pepakura. I have never attempted to do unfolding before, so i will have to take my time an make sure it all comes out correctly. Below are some images of the rifle i have made and some of the reference images i found to use to make the suit.

Got some more work done to the back of the BattleFrame. The new Arsnault BattleFrame came out yesterday so i think im going to put the rocket pods on the back some how. What i got so far.

hey ladman very awesome work on your armor so far I love how this is coming along cant wait to see how it looks when you start your build. are you doing this armor in traditional paper ,Bondo ,fiberglass etc or foam id like to build a set of armor like this for myself one day I'm subscribing to your thread for sure and good luck on your build

Thanks man, i appreciate it. I plan on making it out of foam, but im going to be making my templates out of cardboard first to test for scale. I just got done making my manikin replica of me, so i can make it very accurate. I might be building most of it by hand with a lot of trial and error as well.

I did not like the way the chest piece was coming out. I am working on a re-design for the structure of the chest and back. Here is a progress shot of that so far. Trying to make it be as contoured to the body as possible so i can move in it very easily and not have it end up being a large bulky piece of armor that is hard to move in.

Good luck man, I will be watching this. I am a dev at Red 5 studios and we are always excited to see what our fans come up with. Just a quick observation though, the reference you are using looks a lot more like an assault frame than the dreadnought. Regardless it will be awesome to see the finished project :D.

Thanks man. Love the game, the new arsenal battle frame is sweet! I was thinking of adding in rocket pods like that on my battleframe. Here is a little update on my frame.
