Thanks for the pics guys. I'll see what I can do with those. Of course ,it would be great to have some good ninety degree angles, but some shots are close side views.

Those pictures should be sufficient to make an accurate model. It shouldn't take long at all to model that blaster. I'll get to it soon.

After a little more work I have the sith shocktrooper helmet at 85% complete. It just needs a bit more detail and some structural refinement.

Man that is one small eye opening... I'm going to use a different bucket for my fanfilm... I found some concept art in the Clone Wars that looks similar, but more functional.

Your model is great, I just don't care for this particular design.

I'm digging the Malgus shin armor btw!

Thanks. I was thinking of making the visor a little bigger for a better field of view, but wanted to keep the model true to the cinematic design. Are you talking about the TCW stealth clone trooper helmet design? I've been looking at the concept art from my TCW blue rays recently.

I thought those pictures are all of the same blaster along with some of the darksaber.
I'll make the darksaber too, it looks simple enough.

It's from the first season, it's the sketch they modify from the Galactic Marine.

I was looking through pictures and it looks similar to the Ralph McQuarrie concept art for a snow trooper. In the sketch here on the right.

Just to clarify the pistol blaster thing . The blaster just has a longer barrel and is a little bit bigger than the pistol ... And now we know, and knowing is half the battle........

Thanks for not claiming them as your own or not crediting them. I am Praetor Ordo over there, just for your info. It is from one of the concept shots. I was looking at doing it sliced with 1/8-inch sintra, but Darth Real Life got in the way.

As for the Malgus Leg Armor... SQUEEEEEE!!!!! Thanks, Fierfek! Can't wait for more!!!

As for Death Watch. I've done some intensive investigation into them and have found some interesting things. Specifically, the Jet Pack. This should help you a little. The jetpack is a modification of the Jango Fett jet pack. The differences are rather simple, if you know what you are doing.

    1. The two top pieces of either side of the central cylinder are removed, but there is a "divot" in the cylinder as if the pieces were simply removed (and the pieces were perfectly rectangular).

    2. The bottom of the central tube is flat and has a hole in the center of about an inch wide and four small decorative holes around it.

    3. The missile is a modification of the Boba Fett missile and about half the size. It has a couple of parts removed for simplicity in animation.

    4. The bottom of the jetpack is recessed around the sidewalls.

    5. The jetpack has a piece that extends out and flush with the top of the back plate.

I've got a bunch of research pictures that I can send you via PM, if you would like Fierfek. It includes frame-by-frames of the various episodes (not the new ones, though), concept sketches, and a couple of 3D rotations of the various characters.

I always liked that TCW snow clone helmet design and of course all of Ralph McQaurrie's concept art. It's cool that they use so many of his concepts in the TCW series. In one of the recent episodes Obi Wan sports a McQuarrie inspired Boba helmet.

You're welcome, I'll get back to the Malgus armor soon. Just have to finish up the sith shocktrooper helmet. I thought I recognized your extensive research process and analysis in that TCW Death Watch thread on the TDH. Any reference data would be greatly appreciated and helpful.

Thanks, it still needs some work. I really have taken to the design more so than the Havok trooper and am debating on building the costume for C VI.

I knew that helmet looked really familiar... I couldn't place it, and it's been nagging at the back of my head for the last week. Thanks lol.

I agree with you, I love that they've been using McQuarrie designs for inspiration... gives Star Wars new life.

Luckily, there's not THAT many different armor sets in the game. Most end up being slightly different colored. So if someone showed me how to rip the 3d models from the game, I'd provide all the models you could desire!

It is possible to obtain the 3d models from the game, but the models are very low poly and are not well suited for pep. Not without some serious remodeling, which would be an inefficient way of going about it and time consuming. That's why I'm doing the TOR models from scratch.
