it's not a matter of being awkwardly sized, really. it's just i know this jacket is a men's jacket, and i'm just curious as to know the measurements. i'm tiny in comparison, so extra small would usually make sense. but, i also have lady parts, so maybe it's a small.

Steady's return policy looks top notch so I don't think it would be a big deal if didn't fit you the way you liked. I say just order the size jacket you wear already. You are IDENTICAL to me. Same height, weight, pant size and build(wide shoulders). The medium I am sure would be to short in the arms and xl would probably be to loose in the stomach, waist area. Get the large and never look back!corso said:

If I was making a display I would probably get the gloves as well but since I am basically getting the jacket to wear I will pass on the gloves for now(at that price at least).joelgoodson said:

I'm just getting some basic brown driving gloves for Halloween. Maybe I'll go for the official ones later on. Trying to keep the budget down for now. Especially since I'm going to be wearing a home-made jacket replica.

It's gonna be pretty basic though, just trying to capture the "feel" of the jacket for Halloween.
I'm not sewing anything or making patterns. I'm just adding some stuff to a white satin baseball jacket.
Size isn't really a big issue for me at this point anymore. I am think Gosling wears a medium. I will be putting this in a big shadow box and will add items to it.

I'm still confused as to whether they're showing pics of the original or their version.
I think thats their version...If they would just put that damn size chart up...sheesh!
Anyway, here is a plain satin souvenir jacket I found at my goodwill for $5. (yep, $5). It had epulets and a button tap collar so I got those off. I need ideas on the cuffs and banded collar...anyway maybe I could just..like...paint them brown or something? The brown cuffs and collar really make a nice contrast. Then I can just throw some blood spatter, dirt and stuff to make my halloween costume. I ordered the gloves, already have the jeans and will lookalike boots...

We used some a while back to do camo for Endor Trooper costume from Return of the Jedi. Works pretty well. Probably way easier than trying to liquid dye them.
size chart is up. still not sure what size to order. I want the fit to be really slim kinda like how slim it fit on Conan O'Brien. I am 6'2 185 lbs with wide shoulders. Can't decide between a small or medium.
In the film, Gosling most of the time layered his over his trucker jacket...I wonder what size he would be (or what size correlates to the screen used jacket they copied). Checking the measurements, I think these size kinda generous....the above jacket in the pic is marked as a Medium yet it corresponds to their size Small measurements....
Yeah I was wondering that too. I usually take a small but the small seemed kinda big in the size chart.
45" chest is pretty big for a size small. that is 22.5" laid flat armpit to armpit which is very big.
I just compared measurements with some of my hoodies. and the XS scorpion jacket has the same measurements as my size Medium hoodies. Steady is a company that makes biker type clothing for the typical white american male who is built bigger then most.
