done the hand painting of the gun metal grey, buffed some more of the black paint away from the right tusk, added some scratches to the under chin area to match screen used and added the circular indentation on the other side, rounded out two of the mouth slots. the tear drops below the lenses need some work ive that still to do.i may still do the right cheek chips but not sure yet.

ive went with my own home made colour for the grey its a mix of plain silver, black and grey paints not entierly accurate but i like it.

note theres no black section on left side as per screen used but you cant tell in the pic

as usual with my vaders i havnt done the nose yet but for some wierd reason i hate to do it i prefer it black and to let the light accent it, i find it looks more evil but guess ill end up adding it in.

Ok started on the nose also working more blemishes n chips into the paint work and started building up the screen look to the right cheek.
sorry for the poor quality pics but this camera just doesnt want to work indoors this is 5 out of about 20 i took and the others were worse... ohh for good weather to get some outdoor stuff.
tbh its probably my lack of digital camera knowledge or the strip lights in this loft.
Anyway heres the pics and obviously still a long way to go till its done.

i like that last one lol even tho the pics this camera is taking are crap but i dunno it just kinda remends me of a scene or summit.

for some reason every time i try to get a photo of the helmet the pics dont turn out dunno why, those last ones were right at an large open window to try and get an outside effect cos even tho it was sunny the weather is wild here atm any fellow scots will attest to that :P

i like your recent combo sith very jealous.. made me wonder if i should mod my esb face mask to anh see how it looks, its sposed to be from screen used at some point but even tho most details are sharp on it the ridges around the upper mouth to the nose seem not straight like they have warped along the generations.

in fact i probably will as ill either sell the left overs from my esb suit or give them away to the needy builder over on STT to help them out. it was my first lid and for some reason im attached to it even tho ive came to the conclusion that ANH hits all the right bells for me.

Would I be allowed to use this picture on my Vader Helmet List on my own forum? I need a good picture of the GB helmet.

    im fae Glasgow.

yeh use the pic if you want NHM ill get better pics eventually.

the paint im starting to forget lol.. i posted about it on STT i think. but from memory it was matt black mixed with a renault graphite grey and then tipped in a small tin of humbrol metalic silver. i did that cos if you look close at the hand painting of anh mask its not really gunmetal grey its more a silver grey with metalic flecks. was worth a try looks ok

some progess on my belt and chest box.

hand milled darkblade chest box blank, machined anh rods and coin slots, lonepigion buttons ( coloured the red one with humbrol red let it dry then washed it off this stained it red ), pls ignore the crappy large buttons they are just on for looks just now and are off an old box that was ****** still need to source good ones so if anyone knows who where when gimmi a shout.

russ rep v1 boxes and buckle (still to weather), correct lights (still to do electronics but that will be swap from my old esb boxes), good thick belt about the only thing i salvaged from my esb belt still to add a second stud and another hole then i think ill weather the leather a bit, tried to square off the buckle slots a bit but stopped as i need some small files.

all in all i have some more to do to these and the helmet and i want to get good accurate belts to hole the chest box and add the correct studs too and hes complete just need all in one photos however the artizan cod is looking more and more tempting by the day :P

any other mods im missing any of you can think of pls say

oh and did some more weathering to my 3po so ill just post that ere

ignore the eyes ine not touched them yet

ive added the top two of my final choice for straps for my darkblade box still to do lower one.
good lower buttons for chest box are on way.
ive taken my old esb cod off and have modded the inners to more anh shape and will have a go with the leather part this week to see how it looks modded to anh, failing that ill go with artizan.
i need to play about with some positioning here n there but im fairly happy now.
pls ignore the dust :P and the fact it all just hung on a wooden home made structure.

Ok, so i deffo need to get a shop window dummy as my home made wooden structure no longer suits my needs and makes the cossy look a bit off shaped etc.

Anyway heres the latest pics, now with better buttons added to the chest box (still to do the lower strap) the cod is still a wip but is starting to look ok but needs a little adjustment here n there i decided to attempt to mod what i had first to see how it looked.

As usual this bloomin camera is crap and ive had to adjust colours here n there. Dunno why i cant use this damn thing some turn out most go blurry and double focused and others go way too bright.. im disgusted by this as ive worked with pro tv industry equipment in the past and i cant use a dummy proof camera..im sure it must be faulty or something.

below, the buttons are coloured right and weathered, tho you cant tell cos the pic is bad.

how the cod used to look on my fist costume
