Re: Don Robert's GUYVER- W.I.P (pic heavy)

Re: Don Robert's GUYVER- W.I.P (pic heavy)

Re: Don Robert's GUYVER- W.I.P (pic heavy)

Re: Don Robert's GUYVER- W.I.P (pic heavy)

If I had the skill I would begin work on one of the Giant Guyver suits since I am so tall hahah! I know you guys will do some awesome stuff! Also, Valcuria is in the current arc of the guyver manga, and shes pretty badass if I must say!

Re: Don Robert's GUYVER- W.I.P (pic heavy)

The days are the same length but I don't think they sleep in the Philippines. :lol

Amazing how fast you can make these suits...thanks for posting the con advert it is interesting to see how conventions are advertised in other countries....

I really like the hot glue casting idea. I was reading wiki and there are so many different types of hot glue. Some of the high temp glues can withstand very high temperatures.

I have one of the Bio-Weapons Guyver Masks, never exposed it to nay real high temps, but it's been sitting on my shelf for a good two and half years now as I try to figure out the best way to tackle the rest of the costume, as such, I am going to be following your thread with interest. I really want to actually get around to doing this costume some day.

Re: Don Robert's GUYVER- W.I.P (pic heavy)

Looking great so far!
The Guyver suits have always been my favorite and I too want to do a full suit one day.
As I've mentioned on other posts, this was one of the first helmets I've ever sculpted and still the one I'm proudest of.
Just in case Don hasn't made the control metal yet, here's how I made my control metal and maybe how he can make one that lights up:
1425-control-metal.jpg

I made mine originally from a wooden ball which I cut up, then made a mold of it to cast in resin.
The other globes where Christmas ornaments, both plastic and glass.
You guys do amazing jobs on your costumes and looking forward to the progress on this.
Next time I go back to the Philippines, I want to schedule it so I can attend the cosplay convention. I don't cosplay, but I appreciate those who do.

Have fun guys!

Re: Don Robert's GUYVER- W.I.P (pic heavy)

wow. bumped so far. lol. Robert is thinking of doing the zoanoid so we'll have a ready skit. I am not sure if he will push through with it. lol. because I said if you're doing Valcuria then her opponent in the anime is guyver 1. but in the movie the guyver battles the mean ugly zoanoid. lol. I told him instead well, if you want to do a zoanoid then griselda will be the one to go with it because she's also a zoanoid. :D it's tough for us (technically for him). hahaha. because we come in pairs. Our costumes is always complimentary. it's a trademark. lol. :lol

Re: Don Robert's GUYVER- W.I.P (pic heavy)
