Re: foam with rondo+ anyone having trouble painting foam? look no further

Hey doc, which brand foam do you use? I have had mixed results depending on which foam I've tried.

I only use 1 type of foam for all my builds its called "silly winks" foam sheets from HobbyLobby. I use 3mm and 5mm

Re: foam with rondo+ new foam mark 8 glove and mark 6, 7 and now 3 boots

You got it! The mark VI was for a customer and which Im workin on the legs still and other orders as well. But I Did make a small vid of the torso for the customer to get an idea how it looked before I shipped it if ya want to see that till I finish my mark 7 and post full body shot doing salsa dancing since I cant break dance:lol I sent em what I had finished so far. I can post it if ya want

Sure I will take what ever you are willing to share. I definitely want to build a pepakura suit but I like the way your method looks and if I like the way your suit moves then I might also build myself a foam suit for when I want to be more comfortable. So if you already have a video to share for now that's great and I will look forward to the video of your Mk VII.

Yeah I had not thought about how it sounds... from your description it sounds like the squeaking will stop once the paint fully cures. Is that right?

Re: foam with rondo+ anyone having trouble painting foam? look no further

Yea it stops once fully cured. Its a really short one but here ya go:) damn shoulder bell:lol

Re: foam with rondo+ anyone having trouble painting foam? look no further

Also extremely comfortable and light weight. And as ya can see had a messy white shirt lol but the gaps were almost fully closed like under armpit area can barely see white shirt. I try to get as least amount of open space on my builds its a pet leeve n cant stand em:D Once I'm done with mark VII full suit will post vid of full body shot moving around :thumbsup

Nice little video. The suit looks great.

When it is done, I would definately like to see the longer video of your Mk VII with you walking around and striking a couple poses, maybe sitting or squating if that is possible in the suit, and some range of motion demonstrations. I am not sure how much you can do in it. If that is too much to ask then just say so. ;)
