    Jul 9, 2012 - Dark Knight Joker Costume? #1

Dressing up for Batman and looking for an authentic costume. Cost is not an issue. I saw one "official" costume for 160. Will that be the best find?

Hey, check out the costume forum and do a search in there (this is the prop forum). There is a bunch of good info in there. And, no, the official costume is not worth it at all.

Sorry, for kind of hijacking this thread, but what I always asked: Does the Magnoli vest also come with a custom-button option?

AJRand, let me see if I have this straight.
You said cost is not an issue but you're asking about a 160.00 costume?
I'm sure you've been here long enough to know that in some cases just the footwear for an accurate costume can cost over 200.00, no? I am by no means an expert on this particular costume but I would think you'll need to spend at LEAST 500.00 to get this to look accurate.

FYI, you may not want to start a thread in the future with the words "cost is not an issue" as I suspect you will now be paying top dollar...much more than you would have spent if you didn't open with that sentence.

Yeah, I spent $500 on the weathering job...

Never use the phrase "cost is not an issue" here on the RPF...

Expect to pay at least 1K for a good version of this costume.
Magnoli is a one-stop shop for almost everything you need (minus the socks and wig).

I have that in 2 different costumes each. So some people are able to do it then more power to them! Magnoli is the way to go for this costume though!!

aboslutely, Magnoli are the way to go for all costumes, if you have the money. Me personally, I cant warrant paying their prices for an outfit I'll likely just wear once or twice. Being that my ideas for Halloween character's/costumes etc changes frequently.
