Hi everyone!
My name is Mari and I am a newbie cosplay armor maker. I'd like to share with you all my progress for my Custom Diablo 3 Female "Dark Barbarian" armor and axe. It's custom because I'm taking liberties with the design since I really can't find many good high res images for Female D3 armor, only some very small images. And all of the usual "stock" images for D3 Barb armor are typically brown/silver and I will be coloring it black/silver instead.
This is my first ever Worbla armor cosplay! I've been chronicling everything on my FB but I wanted to contribute to the RPF since I'm constantly lurking... lol
The materials I'm using are:
Craft Foam
Worbla's Finest Art (Rhenoflex)
Pot (for boiling water)
Water
Scissors
X-acto Knife
Soldering Iron
A Marker
Cutting board
-----------------------
This is the basis for my Dark Barbarian. I'll be making an altered version of this.
The "Buckle" for the front of the waist armor. Made by cutting it and dipping the Worbla into boiling water.
The front part of the waist piece sans-buckle.
Here is the front top of the waist piece with a few added details. All made by cutting and dipping into boiling water.
Sheet of Worbla I'm using for the next section of the waist piece.
Fuzzy faux fur leg warmer for the shin guard armor pre-combing.
Fuzzy faux fur leg warmer for the shin guard armor post-combing.
Here's some craft foam with the two outer piece of Worbla, pre-heating.
Craft foam on top of Worbla piece, ready to be heated.
Heating up the Worbla in a pot of boiling water.
Here's the craft foam inside the Worbla pieces before I cut the edges.
I cut the edges of the worbla just enough to have a little bit left over and then I folded it over the back side making sure that the craft foam was secured within the Worbla.
Added a little hoop so I can attach it to the belt piece.
The three parts together.
Strips of Worbla to add detail.
Here it is with the details added. I'm not done and this pattern will be altered soon.
This is all I have done so far... If anyone has any questions, I will be more than happy to answer them! If anyone has any suggestions/tips please do share!!! I am a total noob at this and would like to learn more!!
Thanks for reading everyone!
