Custom Diablo 3 Female "Dark Barbarian"

Hi everyone!

My name is Mari and I am a newbie cosplay armor maker. I'd like to share with you all my progress for my Custom Diablo 3 Female "Dark Barbarian" armor and axe. It's custom because I'm taking liberties with the design since I really can't find many good high res images for Female D3 armor, only some very small images. And all of the usual "stock" images for D3 Barb armor are typically brown/silver and I will be coloring it black/silver instead.

This is my first ever Worbla armor cosplay! I've been chronicling everything on my FB but I wanted to contribute to the RPF since I'm constantly lurking... lol

The materials I'm using are:

Craft Foam
Worbla's Finest Art (Rhenoflex)
Pot (for boiling water)
Water
Scissors
X-acto Knife
Soldering Iron
A Marker
Cutting board

This is the basis for my Dark Barbarian. I'll be making an altered version of this.

The "Buckle" for the front of the waist armor. Made by cutting it and dipping the Worbla into boiling water.

Here's the craft foam inside the Worbla pieces before I cut the edges.

I cut the edges of the worbla just enough to have a little bit left over and then I folded it over the back side making sure that the craft foam was secured within the Worbla.

Added a little hoop so I can attach it to the belt piece.

Here it is with the details added. I'm not done and this pattern will be altered soon.

This is all I have done so far... If anyone has any questions, I will be more than happy to answer them! If anyone has any suggestions/tips please do share!!! I am a total noob at this and would like to learn more!!

Thanks for reading everyone! :)

I just got some Worbla myself and am going to try and tackle a Diablo 3 Demon Hunter. I also have some Wonderflex which from what I've read is similar to Worbla, although you can't use the scraps up like you can with Worbla. Wonderflex is test marketing a transparent version......all very exciting!

Have you done any more on this project? I'm very interested to see what you've learned.

hi, does worbla stick to itsself? or do i need any kind of glue, ive just bought a sheet for a project and im bran new to the uses
also if it does stick to its self which side do you use the smooth side or rough? thank you

hello! i'm not sure what references your using but i recently made a custom Diablo 3 Barbarian with a custom Axe.

i used Worbla for the whole armour set with the fur cuffs behind it. i found it hard to attatch to anything and it was heavy and expensive. try using foam as much as you can, its actually so much easier on a whole aswell as being cheaper.
for the axe, i found a tree branch that was very straight and long (although difficult to transport it was authentic haha) and used expanding foam for the axe head which i carved into the shapes i wanted, (i forgot the chain that goes around it but yeah, you get the idea)
i really want to make a version 2 of this, using the armour peices i have made but with an upgrade! i was very rushed with it although i'd already spent over 100 hours on it! if i can help in anyway please ask :D
