Nice job guys! Hyper, I saw the painted helmet on Facebook, looks really good! Now all that's left is the visor!

Hope Hyper doesn't mind me bumping this thread:
Now please offer any critique you may have. He has offered to repaint any areas I think may need a color change, etc.![]()
That's fantastic!!! Which color CC costume were you going to do? I don't think the blue looks bad at all, might need a touch darker, but the paint job looks great.
Get those vents cut out or painted black on what would be cut out so they look functional and not just a add on. I would go with a tad darker but but overall I think it looks great
Impressive to say the least, outstanding build work. Can't wait to see it all finished.
Hey, a little help request. I'm wondering how to get the red detail on the collar. What are my options? Can I go to a fabric store and what fabric should I purchase to line the collar in red? Can I use just fabric glue or should I learn how to sow?

I'm not sure that would look right if you glued it in place, but at the same time sewing (from what I understand) isn't as easy as it would seam...(intended pun). Did you have someone make the jacket for you? I thought you were you g for the body armor version of this costume without the military jacket??
The collar is present, even when Krake is wearing the armor. I have three mock turtlenecks, one red, blue, and green and was hoping I could tinker with one. I may have to wait to see how the armor rests on my body to determine whether I can use a collar even I guess.![]()

That helmet is looking awesome! Hyper, how did you get the chrome finish on the visor? Crabra, I would sew not glue. As far as type of fabric, not really sure, I'd just go to a fabric store, picture in head and try to find something that closely matches.

Man! I haven't been able to log on in a while, but this looks great! Love the helmet, is is way cool!
Dude thats awesome! I'm still in the research phase for my Cobra Commander/Crimson Guard, I really love that helmet. You do deadly work
All credit goes to Steven and Daniel on this great costume!
That is a wicked helmet and build. I had no idea that the comics were still so popular. IDW seems to have magic fingers when it comes to GI joe and G1 transformers.
thats looking really good. awesome work on the helmet. the pecks could be more defined. yours are kinda square. cant wait to see the final.
AMAZING costume!!! Got me inspired to start making my own Cobra Commander costume. Think I will head down this path...

I got something in today! I'll post pics with the complete ensemble sans armor.
Now I have to figure out how to pad and coat the inside to fit snugly!![]()

That is awesome! How's the visibility?
