Try tech support for cinema 4d? Have you updated your graphics card drivers?
hmmm I've done this from all version since 8 I think,..what kinda file and size are you trying to stick in there?
what kind of videocard?
I see from the image your using xp that shouldnt be an issue
just opened it up and stuck 6 different image types w/ no problem (the most common) so w/o more information on your end I cant really help much

Read the message.. it says it saved crash/bug info in a .txt- text file. Post the txt file.
Also, not sure you can directly throw images into c4d- I always place them on planes after making a new file.
... pretty sure this is in the wrong section, too.
You can directly throw images in vrog, its under viewport settings then under the tab back
As for information, what vrogy said crash reports, dxdiag summary
