Re: Chewbacca wip
Hi Park.
Great work so far. That has been quick! ![]() I have to agree with chwbcc. You should remove the hump. Thin out the hair more. Especially on the moustage. Also you should glue the hair on the ceecks very flat onto the face. Suart freeborn "knitted" some underneath the other. He did the same with the end of the mustage. and the hair under the chin that go to the neck. Here you have to thin out first and glue somne of them on carefully as well. |

Re: Chewbacca wip
Thanks Jorg. Sometimes I will look at it to long and not see what needs fixing. I will give that a shot and post more progress pics.

Re: Chewbacca wip
I think the height is good, just needs to be even. maybe add a little in the back. Mustache is a little long. Your getting there, just have to play with it.

Re: Chewbacca wip
bump on the head needs to be evened out. So not to look so coneheadish.
Lookin really good though! I think the hardest thing about Chewie has to be getting all the face hair punched at the right angles. And then in the trimming and styling. (from all the ones I've seen) |

Re: Chewbacca wip
OK.... here is were I am at with the mask. I took the bump off of the top of the head and went back to the original way that TRAP JOE designed it.
Please give me some more feedback on what you all see that I can do to make it better. ![]()

Re: Chewbacca wip
Really nice! It looks pretty close, though like you said some thinning is needed.
These pics I found seem to show a little more height, like you were trying for. I think it might be a combo of a slightly taller head and some thinning on the sides, but I'm not sure. But these pics do show more of the dark gray hair in his forehead, so maybe you could bring that out through thinning. I think the styling around the neck would help bring out the chin. It would be nice to see it on the rest of the costume to get an idea of the total look. Since your costume is taller than the original, the head might end up looking a little small. ![]()

That. is. awesome. But I'd imagine that upkeep would be a lot of work to deal with!

Re: Chewbacca wip
Ok. I am pretty close to being done. Still have some trimming but overall I am pretty happy. The arms and crotch area will be trimmed up.The arms so they don't look so long and the crotch to make the legs look longer.
