    Cube looks great.

Other than the collar, the suit looks good out of the box. How much "extra" fabric is on the inside top of the chest panel to allow adjustment?

Plus, thanks for the word to the wise about ab padding.

Thanks guys, my Tesseract is in fact an old Desk Lamp from the furniture store Habitat. I picked it up at a boot-sale for £5 and was assured it lit up. I couldn't believe it when I got home and it actually worked and lit up blue!

I plan to post a few fully suited up pictures once I've made some modifications, but will also be posting a few once I've done some more bits and pieces anyway

There's not really any extra fabric I'm afraid, the fabric you see is pretty much what you get, the inside of each part is fully lined with a silky material

So the Devil is in the detail. .....sorry.
Good to hear that the suit is lined. Nice sign of quality but guess that makes it difficult to mod.

Just a quick update. I've swapped out the buckles on the chest straps for accurate vintage angled D-Rings and removed the pleather star from the chest as my new chest star arrived this morning!
I've almost finished the leg holster too, I just need to add the strap to attach it to the belt and I'll be done - hoping to do some weathering next or perhaps start work on the helmet!

    New buckles and star:

    Leg Holster:

Also I've had a couple of PM's about the same thing, so thought I'd post it here as it must be something people are curious about. Here is a close-up of the texture of the fabric:

Looks like twill for the fabric. Is it cotton or poly-cotton blend?

The new star and buckles really improve the suit and the holster looks great.
Are you going to use an airsoft for you M1911.

I'm not sure, looks to be cotton though.
An airsoft is what I had planned, if I can find one here in the UK

Color me uneducated, but there is a restriction on airsoft in the UK? Your not allowed to do the orange tip?

    Hey Nick,

I am not sure if you have it, but here is a great shot of a replica CA uni. It is pretty much screen accurate as far as I can tell. But you can see the construction of the back strapping and belt. The material itself on the whole costume seems very leathery though. In the movie, it appears more fabric made, but I don't know if it supposed to be very distressed leather, or actually a fabric of some sorts. Whereas this replica is completely leather. If this replica was a little dirty I think it would look completely SA. Hope it helps.

That's a UD replicas suit. It was designed for motorcycle riding, which is why it's made out of leather instead of screen accurate material.

The back of the pistol belt and suspenders attaching to the jacket and not the belt... is wrong.
I think I know why UD did it because that is how you put the belt on.
But Sandman and Kevin Gossett's pistol belt builds show the correct detail.

I am not sure what I would think if I saw someone on a motorcycle wearing one of those. I would actually think it would look pretty sweet, but at the same time, wonder "Why would you wear that to go riding?"

    But that makes sense. Thanks.

That stinks, because I really like the look of the belt. Not that I ordered it, but it has a great vintage look w/the small double buckles. But I will have to check those out.

So in the long run, sorry for the bad info Nick.

I'd wear it riding but then I have a flag the size of a jeep. I drive with every 4th of July, been doing it for years.

No better source for the back of the suit than the auction catalog.

Yeah, I like the look of the UD belt better than the actual belt. But I can definitely see that w/the UD belt, you could not have the back strap attach properly like you said.

And in that shot, it almost appears that the ab section and the arms are the same pinstriped material. I know it isn't, as the abs are just a dirty white, but yeah, it just appears that way. But that is a great source shot. You can definitely see some major differences btwn the UD one and the actual one.

Glad I could help and if you can afford a UD suit, get one of those perfect Al shields that are currently in the works, leather crossbelt, and a 100% accurate helmet... few will be look at or notice the small of your back.
And if they do, they are the ones that are off not you.

I do intend to make some changes to the back of the costume, but I'm not going to go too crazy with it. I'm planning to add some additional straps to the shield so it can be worn on my back anyway so I'm just not sure it's worth the effort doing too much when it will be possibly be covered anyway.

I've darkened the pouches down, I'm planning to finish up the holster tomorrow. Then I think weathering it will be next on my list!

Will they be shoulder straps like a backpack or some tie-in to your harness on the back?
If your back buckle on the harness is steel and not Aluminum perhaps a magnetic clip made with rare earth magnets.

FYI, I contacted UD recently, both via email and by telephone, about perhaps buying their belt, boots and glove. I still have not heard from them. I'm a little hesitant about placing an order with a company that does not respond to communications in a reasonably manner. Has anyone bought anything from them or heard any negative reviews?

UD replicas is trustworthy, david (i think that was his name) is on the board, he is selling first class items, but they are Motorcycle wear. They try to go as movie accurate as possible, but material wise they have to keep to restrictions.
They do these with the official license, and you wont get any better licensed item than this.

Well I know UD Replicas don't sell the Cap stuff to the UK, I wanted the gloves, boots and belt
I had to make do with a cosplay pair of ebay, not fantastic but they have the right design to them with the little buckle at the top etc

The company is based in Toronto and the request appears to be coming from Florida, if they wont sell to Louie who will they sell to?

Edit: They have to produce a good product to get A. Savage's approval.

I had planned to post various progress shots of my work on the helmet, but I received it today and just kind of got carried away!
It started life as one of Roblenzz fantastic helmet casts and I spent a few hours solid on it and although I'm not finished (I still want to add leather around the nose bridge and eyes) - but here it is! It went from picture 1 to picture 2 in one sitting

    Picture 1:
