Bruce Willis 'Die Hard' Tattoo

I'm not 100% positive where I should post this, I've seen a few other tattoo threads scattered on different boards, it's kind of a costume request I suppose lol.

Does anyone have any decent shots of Bruce Willis' tattoo that he has in the Die Hard movies? I cant find a really clear image of it. All I can make out is that it's a skull with a tophat and maybe a bowtie.

I've been looking for a cool tattoo to get for quite a while, and Die Hard is one of my favorite movies so I figured this would make a really cool tattoo if I could find a clear enough image for the tattoo artist to use as a reference.

This is probably the best picture I could find.



Does anyone know of anyone who has gotten this tattoo done? If so I'd love to see some pictures.

Yeah I know the tattoo was fake. Bruce does have some pretty cool tattoos of his own though. Aaaaaand yea I probably wont get the Nakatomi Plaza tattoo, very few people would actually get the reference and the rest would just wonder what kind of moron got a tattoo of some Japanese plaza lol.

Yeah I saw that earlier this morning. That is one of the coolest tattoos I've seen for sure lol.

THAT IS AWESOME!!! I've thought about 3 different movie tats Mel Gibson's from Lethal Weapon, The chest one from SUpernatural, and the Expendables one on my upper arm..never have gotten them yet...supposedly a guy at work's buddy got the chest Supernatural one...then got a handprint on his arm like the scar Dean has where he was pulled out of Hell. BUT I've never seen his tatoo..so dont know for sure.

I thought about the Supernatural tattoo as well but the pentagram might not stand for devil worship and all of that, but that's what 99% of society associates it with so I don't think I'll get it. I thought about the Supernatural tattoo but without the pentagram so it'd just be a tribal sun tattoo.

As for the Die Hard tat, I still cant find a better image so I think I might just draw one up myself. Can anyone else make out better details? So far I've got a skull with a top hat and bowtie, and maybe what looks like 2 roses on either side of his mouth.

I will honestly say that I thought the pentagram was associated with devil worship until I started watching Supernatural.

When I first saw the chest supernatural tattoo I wanted it so bad. But I had the same thought. People already think I am devil worshipy because I am a bit gothy. I do think that those are really sexy tattoos tho. My brother has wanted that same tattoo (in the original post) as well but has had the same problem with finding a clear pic.

Maybe get a blu-ray screen grab for clarity...to me it looks like smoke coming out where the ears would be..then a little color added to the smoke for efect. Could be wrong.

Yeah that's what I've been looking for. I don't have a Blu-Ray player and I just sold my PS3 a couple days. I found this one online but I'm not sure if it's from a blu-ray or not, the quality looks like it might be. I'm surprised there isn't more info online about it, I figured for sure someone out there would've had it done.

Looking at it now, I think it's almost definitely a bouquet of roses, not not in his teeth, I think it's behind the skull with two coming out on each side. Trying to get these details figured out soon because I'm hoping to get this tat done this week.

yes..I blew up the pic, but of course you loose resoultion...def looks like a bouquet of roses knd of in a S shape that comes out on both sides of his mouth...the thing that gets me is what is the thing on the left above the roses..looks almost like a spade on a deck of cards? You can def see the green and red in the roses, but the top piece looks black...not sure on that one. I've done some searching on the net for you and I like you am surprised there isnt better pics of it as well.

Yeah I was thinking 4 roses, 2 coming out on each side behind the skull. Not too sure about the thing on the left, if you're seeing what I think you are, than I'm pretty sure it's just part of the brim of the hat.

I was thinking the same thing. Definitely looks more like flowers than smoke, you can make out a hint of red in them which makes me believe they're roses. Oh well, it's not looking like I'm gonna find too much more on this so I'm just going to take this picture into the tattoo shop and have him draw it and see how it looks.

Well I'm hoping I got all the main details correct, tomorrow I'm heading to get this tattoo done. I'll post some pictures once I do

That'd be one funky lookin mole lol. It's definitely part of the tattoo, if you look at other pictures of Bruce, there's nothing there. Plus it's just easy to tell that it's part of the tattoo.

Yeah that's definitely the style of rose to use I think. If in fact it is roses, which now I'm 95% positive it is, then they should be traditional, I mean the whole tattoo is a plain traditional design so it would look weird to use some big fancy design for the rose.
