This is my first time posting something on this forum, because I had trouble understanding how to use the site and I didn't know how to download the pictures as well! lol! lucky i have i good friend that's helping with this! This is my Dracula armor from the movie Dracula Untold! I starting with a life cast of myself and used w.e.d clay to sculpt the details, and apply brush on silicone for the mold with a fiberglass mother mold. I cast it with plastic resin and spray metallic silver and used oil paint with washes, which it still gives it that metal look effect under the paint. I'm planning to go into more detail and step by step with some of the methods i used to make the costume so anyone who wants to make it could avoid running into the same problems I have.

How do I go about doing that?

From the contest rules:

The "proof" photo needs to be you, in costume, with either a sheet of paper that says "The RPF Costume Contest 2014" or a photo of you in costume with your computer in the background with therpf.com up on the computer.

You can post that proof picture in this thread.

Then you'll need a gallery picture. Simply take one of your final pictures and post it here: http://www.therpf.com/gallery/g966-2014-10-halloween-costume-contest.html

If you need help with that let me know. :)

Wow! Fantastic work! Those dragons are amazing!

I know what the broomstick is for on the front of the chest (that stuff is heavy) but how did you coverup the spots where it's held on when you were finished? Did those spots cause you any problems? (Bumps on the casting?)

I'd love to see more pics of your process.

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you Grimwood! the stick are very light, but the wet plaster wraps got very heavy after layers and layers that I got my friends to make sure it was well supported. The sticks whicheck I bought from Walmart in the arts and crafts section, I aadded a few strips of plaster warps on to whatever touch the body. The sticks were in a good postion that it wasnt a problem with the back side. And yeah I'm going to posts more pictures and explains that I did, once I get the hang of using this site. I also had a lot of other projects I did that I would like to share with everyone!
