Hi All, This is my first ever build. I would like to thank everyone that has helped me..Anyway here are a few pictues of my progress so far..please let me know what you think and if you have any pointers for me. I hope this helps any other first time builders out there.
Here are a few more pictures..i had to use a brace to keep the shape of the mask and cover the eye and mouth holes so it still fit my head after i had put the resin on it...

Adding the first bit of body filler (bondo)..starting to take shape now
Sarting to sculpt the famous batman scowl...this was pretty hard to do as i was using body filler to sculpt so i was like sculpting stone when it dried
Didnt really like how the scowl turned out so changed it and built out the eyes some more....what do you all think??

yeah i can see a problem with that, as the cowl, with especially the chin strap are usually flexible,to fit your face. this is rigid, so the form can not adjust to your face, especially the mouth opening and chin strap. thats what i think,but for your sake i hope i am wrongcerburus said:
Cerberus, I like the way you resculpted the scowl, that makes it your own. I'm a little concerned though that there looks to be some distortion around the mouth and jaw, does it still fit and do you intend on straightening those distortions out or are you going to work with it? Very nice work and I am going to keep an eye on this build.
After alot of sanding...made a pattern for the mouth because of the warping

The chin strap is hard but you can open your mouth...i was thinking of removing the chin strap but then i think the helmet would look abit strange

A few more pictures...sanded down the first layer of primer and sorted out all the high and low points. Painted it after all the sanding with primer filler to fill all the little holes then sprayed it again with a guide coast of paint...still lots of sanding to do...stay tuned!
Omel is right, I was going to suggest going to the BOTB as well. I am a member over there as well as Alphaprym and there are alot of great people over there. They will be very welcoming and very interested in seeing a cowl helmet built. Make sure to read the terms of service over there before posting as many new members have not been doing so and problems arise. I think you'd be a great member over there so check it out. Best of luck and hope to see you there as well.
BTW, everything is looking really good with the high and low spots being corrected, can't wait to see more...

Thanks man...am just waiting for some paint to arrive then i get to spray it...cant wait...in the mean time i am working on paper prototypes of the neck armour...am finding a little difficult..cant really work out how the bit by the adams apple is meant to be...any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated..have already make the arms and the gauntlets out of paper so will be resining them pretty soon.
