Batman Arkham Asylum Armor Update 4/5/12 Convention Pics Added

Re: Batman Arkham Asylum Armor Progress Update 11/04/10 w/Halloween Pics

Another long overdue update. Got the bicep tricep armor finished just in time for Emerald City Comic Con.

It was really well received and I'm pleased with how it turned out. I had the black eye make-up for the first hour or so, but it started to run so bad, I had to wash it off.

I was intending to do the thigh armor next but after wearing that cowl for a total of about 10 hours on Sat, I'm intending to do my own cowl next. It's a great cowl but so uncomfortable on me.

This is looking very cool! Nice work on it.

Gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised to see someone else from the boards there that I could instantly recognize by their costume. The armor looked even better in person. Not as interesting as the ladies, but here's me as Dr. Horrible with weaponx82.

Great job! The armor is amazing.

For eye makeup that won't run when you sweat, look into theatrical grease paint. You apply it with a brush and set it with baby powder. It's not water based so it stays put. It's what KISS uses onstage.

But wouldn't white baby powder on black makeup be, you know, white?

Why do I always manage to look past the amazing builds!
LOVE it! I have to say this makes me want to make a batman suit after my Ironman.

Wow man, that's frickin amazing. I feel like a cheater knowing that you made from the scratch, and I put my DP costume together from items I bought. That's beyond awesome, that's a real talent man, keep up the good work!!!

That's some serious kick-ass Batman armor. Well done. I'd **** my pants if I was a criminal and I saw someone dressed like that coming at me. YIKES! :cheers

It's been awhile since I've been on. Wow! Thanks for all the kind words!

Has anyone seen the new suit for the Batman Live show? You can see they clearly referenced the AA Armor for the suit.

Helps give me a rough idea of what my suit can look like when it's all the pieces are finished and painted.

Not to sound like an ass, but you'd have to try it before you knock it, it works very well.
it's one of the first tricks i was taught in a theater makeup class
