If I had a detailed chart, I may be a little more positive about the costume. That aside, I still like the work that was done. I never did find a site that had gloves readily available except this site: Marvel Comics Cosplay Props -- Captain America Gloves :: Marvel Comics :: Cosplay Props :: Props :: COSPLAY HOUSE
Yeah, that's a huge, huge drag they didn't have a detailed chart at the time of your order. Hopefully you'll be able to make it all work for you.

Thanks much for the glove link!

Aside from the fitting issues, the suit looks pretty good. How well did they pay attention to your measurements?
I received the same suit last week, I would say they payed attention to the measurements for the most part, but the stomach area was to loose for me.

And the metallic fabric on the shoulders are going to have to come off, I'm going to have to make them and spray them metallic in order to make it look good.

Not to take over, but here are two pics of the China latex mask from EBay after I trimmed it up. Pretty good for $100 shipped

Hey Shellhead, thanks for providing pics. I believe I was the poster who had you post pics in that other thread.
Anyways, would you mind taking a pic of your back side with the costume so I can see how fitted it is? What is the size of it also?

Alright, so I'll have to STRESS to them the stomach measurements!

    Thanks for the heads-up!

Mike, that helmet looks outstanding! Can't find anything wrong with that, and for the price...pretty damn hard to beat!

Wooo--ok---here's where the non-form fitting and rigid material part gets icky. Here's also where a better measurement would have paid off

Thanks for providing the pics Shellhead. Yeah, the costume looks very loose and more like a jacket/coat. I wonder if customizing it is possible but the fabric on it doesn't look friendly for it.

You should take it to an alterations shop, have them fit the whole thing to you. The pants legs could be taken in as well. It won't be cheap, but it will be cheaper than getting a new one and more fun than not wearing it to Dragoncon.

Yes, more fun at the Con (agreed!). But yeah, took it to a tailor and the best he could do in the time I gave him was removing the pads stitched in to the torso area. I'll be taking it back to him for further adjustments in time for Halloween

Well, I got a helmet kit and went to town over this past weekend finishing and painting it. Added some adjustments to my boots and this is as ready as it's going to get for the Con. Seeing what Darth Mule put together and PunisherNC making it look good, I have to say I still have a ways to go. Hmm..Darth--you up for another commission??

    Anyway, here's my finished costume.
Oh, still working on blue contacts, too

Thanks. We had a blast at Dcon--took most of today recuperating, though (whew). It came and went WAY too fast. I really want to upgrade this costume and will certainly be spending the next few months getting it to wear I'm more than happy with it.
But here are a couple me with the Mrs.

I wish I could say I was talented enough to actually sew. This was a cosplay purchased suit that I upgraded and downgraded (of sorts). This particular suit is made of Nylon fabric.
Please..whatever you do...do NOT use Nylon!

It doesn't stretch (so there's very little room to custom fit to your own body) and, most importantly, it doesn't breath. My suit was hot as heck.
But, in some instances, wasn't bad for pics
