Aye Mates

When I started building my Sparrow-Outfit this forum was one of my main sources for getting the infos I needed to finish this project (although real costume projects are never finished as you will always find ways to improve some parts :P ). Anyway I wanted to thank you guys for posting tips and hints and wanted to show you my interpretation of Captain Jack Sparrow. Some parts I'm not realy satisfied with, are the baldric, hat, flintlock and compass. I'll spend some more time improving these parts until "Potc 3" reaches cinemas

Well, here it is so far. One "normal" picture from a promotion-trip in summer and one from the so called "Hansetage" in Germany where I was almost caught by some soldiers and the governor himself which was a lot of fun for everybody involved

More detailed pictures will follow when I fixed my pc. This posting comes from my dad's computer. Savvy?

Cool, very nice. You bare a striking resemblence to depp in that second picture. And the first picture reminds me of Eyre Square in Galway, Ireland. Cool stuff man

Unlike most Jack Sparrow costumes I've seen, you actually LOOK like Depp in the costume! I'm of the opinion that no matter how good the costume looks, it's lost if you don't look like the actor. This is why masked characters are such an advantage...you don't have to look like anyone.

Now dirty it up some bro. Nobody likes a clean pirate.

    Looks good otherwise.

nice work! Now my question is whether or not you do Jack Sparrow. That is w/ the somewhat drunken and flamboyant movements.

wow! You look like him bro!! Thats the first costume I have seen in a long time that the wearer actually MATCHES (to a point) the real actor.

Nice job my man .. nice job

Good looking Jack, I saw alot at the last Renn Fest here in Texas. None were as good as yours though.....but it was funny seeing all of them trying to act like him lol

And it worked too, one guy got slapped alot by the "wenches" lol

Hey Jakob, you know I like your costume very much. When I first saw your pics on the propschmiede forum I was very impressed how detailed and well made it was! Can't wait to see more of your pics (maybe this spring? )

Anyway, as I didn't want to open a new thread, here are pics of me as Capt. Jack from a birthday party a few days ago:

    Enjoy!

It's from the ebay seller ACME. In my eyes the most accurate sash you can get.

Thankx Ramiel. Yeah, the IKEA curtain is a cheap alternative. But for screen accuracy you better go with the ACME one. Just my $0.02. B)

    [/b]
They are not nearly screen accurate. That's all

    Compass:

Flintlock (+ cheap halloween wig and a nearly done "real" sparrow beard made of human hear.... from my chin! ):

I had to build the costume and do the complete deco at the cinema I work at:

...and there was not enough time so I was not satisfied with the outcome. Actually I own the MR Flintlock so this will be no problem. During the next few weeks I'll start making a new compass.

PS: Oh, the "cutie" on the left is one of my co-workers.
