I think the thinness makes him look 'spidery'. Don't like the leg stripe.

Nice find on those comic pictures. Looks a lot like the new movie suit.
I hope they don't do the eyes with the lashes like that...
No lashes.... the lenses themselves are definitely gold though.
Looks like they might be using a half-face shell again?
Darkened crotch?
Also, anybody else notice the heavy duty Velcro they used to stick him to the side of the truck? haha
...darnit, still haven't gotten a look at the back spider yet.
Good find.
looks like the boots are separate from the suit.
Im kinda liking the rounder eyes.
I wouldn't go so far as to say that they are 'separate'... But perhaps they were attached separately. (Spiderman 3, if you recall had several suits... Only one of which had removable boots because they needed to film Tobey emptying sand out of his boots)
-For filming purposes: having separate boots *could* be problematic during the filming of stunt-heavy action sequences. If I was the designer I wouldn't do it.
Otherwise,
-The boots look like they actually form well around the ankle, something that with the last suits was a problem area. (Bunching, and heel stretching anyone?)
-They also appear to have an Ankle zipper at the inseam. This makes me think that the material is probably thicker, thus requiring a zipper to get into.
>Could this suit be comprised of more materials than just lycra?
> Or, could it still be lycra, but the printing techniques have added so much weight to the material it has lost its elasticity.
Just some things to think about.

Sorry for the double post:
I wasn't going to put this picture up, but there are a couple more interesting things to note:
-Maybe it's just me: But that side seam is reacting like it's got the invisible zipper there.
>Could this also be a 3-zip entry?
-There is a leather sole on the bottom of his boot:
Could this one be based on a boxer (or wrestler's) boot, instead of an acrobatic shoe?

I really think those silver "boots" are just to support the stunt mans ankles during filming. I don't think we will see them in the final cut of the movie
The only thing I like is the organic (reptilian) looking skin texture and colors, it would have been great combining this texture and color with the old pattern design.

I'm getting the Bat man vibe from the spidey film's now. I.E Batman great, Bat Man returns good
, Batman forever
bat man and robin.
Spider man good, Spider man 2 better, Spider Man 3Spider man reboot
Rule of 3.
What's funny to me is the fact, when A black guy was talked about to play spider man. Everyone was up in arms about how not comic accurate, even people who didn't read comics cried foul. With such well thought out statements as "How would black people feel if MLK was played by a white man!"
But a rubber looking made in China Ebay suit people love.
The stunt & hero suits for the Spider Man move's didn't differ much. even the muscle suits worn by toby & the stunt men under the suits very slightly in design, in such a way only someone who studied the suits would know.
This is true, but the 2099 suit kicked ass.![]()
I can only hope that this suit is a lead up into the real suit. Maybe this one gets messed up and he has to make a new one and then the traditional suit comes into play. Makes this one a kid's WIP.
But I doubt it.
It's growing on me. I really kinda like this one. Much better looking than the symbiote suit from spidey 3!
^^ i half agree with this; the symbiote suit was cool, venom was &&*($*%^(^$$#*^
The only things I don't like are the see-through eye lenses and the silver shoes. I really think there's potential for this film.
I don't know if this has been said already, but for some reason this new suit kind of reminds me of Ultraman.
If the movie ends up great, most people will end up liking the suit.
In one of those shots it looks like you can see through them, but I admit I could be mistaken.
the lenses might be see through because theyr the stunt lenses so the stunt man can see better, but who knows
I am of the smae mind that the lenses look see through as well. It seems you
can see his eyes in a few of the pics and if you look at the suit this one was
based on, the lenseson that suit were clearly see through. I remember them
wanting to make the whole mask translucent in the first film and dumped the
idea, so here is to hoping that these lenses are just for the stunt suit.
Well, they do seem to be using a lot of the same material choices from the previous films:
-Suit:
Dye sublimated/ screen printed muscle shading and brick patterns.
If you recall, the lenses used for the last film were a fine mesh. Replicators either found mesh equally as fine, or double/triple layered a mesh of less density.
The mesh, being metal (and... well, mesh) Was not only see through, but highly reflective, thus appearing white in the light, when they were actually a metallic tone.
Since in 80% of the pictures the lenses appear gold, reflective, and transparent at times, I'd say that they are a gold mesh. Being a stunt suit, I'd also say there's a good chance they have less layers, or no clear lens on top (Raimi suit)... as having only 1 layer of mesh is MUCH easier to see through. Whether they would use the same translucency on the Hero suit, who knows. I don't think we've seen *that* mask yet.
I dont know if this has already been pointed out but the red/blue gloves on the new Spidey suit mirror what Andrew Garfield wears here (fingerless gloves). Looks like they are trying to create some design symmetry, but i don't like the fact that Spideys fingertips disappear when his fingers are on top of or crossing over his suit.
