For those on a budget VIDEO: DIY Waxed Jeans in 10 minutes
I have several options right now for the series 6 jacket - I have ruled out Abbyshot as I am not satisfied with the overall accuracy.
I have a set of series 5 shirts from Steve Ricks and very happy with them - I am looking into getting one of his bespoke series 6 jackets, although the price is very prohibiting at the moment. I am hoping Magnoli may come up with an offer that suits my hobby budget better at this time.
As for the jeans, I am def going to get a pair of the crushed black g-stars - still on the fence about size. I hate ordering clothing online - I like to try it on in person.
Hey thanks buddy! Finally another green square!

Well here is the artwork for the bowtie. I am not bothered is someone wants to use it to produce these but please just ask me first either on the thread or via PM:
Please excuse the shape of the bowtie. It is not the shape you could have it, it is just a standard shape the pattern was drawn in. It is more the pattern that you should be interested in. Let me know what you think guys.

I will have to order them soon unless you guys think they will stick around for a few months more?
I guys, I'm french then please forgive me if my english is not so good.
I saw that you were wondering were to find the bowtie of your dreams.
If you got enough money (I'd say like 200 bucks, and more if you want some very expensive materials), there's a french créateur in Paris, place Vendôme, named Monsieur Jean-Yves, who's specialized in Bow-Ties creations, all his bow ties are handcrafted in his shop, and he does an excellent work.
If you want a personnal bow tie, he also does custom ones, you can ask him to make replicas from Matt Smith's Bow Ties.
He's very popular in france, he makes bow ties for a lot of movie stars, specially when they come to Cannes.
Having a Matt Smith's Bow Tie made by him could be really cool.
I already asked him a few ours ago how much it would cost me to do the Matt Smith's Blue Bow tie (this one http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg842...jpg&res=medium ), If my order is getting complete, I'll show you some photos!
I'm thinking you may have a finite window there. They seem to be clearance pricing them on Zappos.
No way is a bowtie worth $200 - only if it was production used would I consider paying that much.
Magnoli Clothiers offers custom movie and TV related wardrobe pieces and accesories at reasonable prices.
I believe I read that Magnoli is planning on doing the series 6 bowtie and is also working on the series 6 jacket.
Switching gears here...
I noticed while watching my series 6 Blu ray, right after the Doctor gets shot and is laying on the sand we can see his suspenders really well in the daylight. They look like they have a purple color to them - is this because they are actually purple or do they take on that color under that lighting condition?
They are blue it is just the light on the show. They are the same ones he used from series 5
Has one started growing their hair longer? I know a bit extreme, I have but gave myself the excuse that I have never had long hair so why not lol. It's driving me nuts
I am doing just that as we speak lol
I won't change my hairdo unless I think I can pull it off. Thankfully, I don't have Matt Smith's Frankenstein-ish head, so I really don't see the point in getting my head area to look like his. I'm happy having a decent costume.
Frankenstein head lol or candy corn shaped lol
I could def pull of the 10th Doctor look better - one of these days I will have to get Magnoli's 10th Doctor suit.
It's weird because the way I'm doing my hair right now, it has sort of a David Tennant look to it - so when I dress as the 11th, I look sort of like a hybrid Doctor!
That hairstyle is pretty popular as of right now. I rocked the Tennent before I started to grow my hair out and may go back to it soon. Sorry for derailing this thread.
So I have my order in with Magnoli for the Series 6 Tweed. Not cheap, but he offered the jacket to me for considerably less than what another great bespoke clothing maker wants for it.
I'm getting the "Otter Wax" fabric wax to use on my eventual purchase of G-Star Blade jeans. This should give them the waxed look nicely - however I DID notice that the crushed black Blade jeans has a BLACK button and not a BRONZE one like we see on-screen - any way of changing this without having to paint it?
The 3D Aged Spark Denim ones have a black button as well - I just sanded the paint off mine. It's silver underneath, but that's closer to accurate than the black.
In some episodes, the later of the series his button on the jeans is black and not bronze at all.
I like the contrast of the button so we will see what I end up doing when I get the jeans.
I just paid off Magnoli for the tweed so hopefully in a month or two I will have that.
I really wish they would have stuck with the Series 5 PS shirts. Part of me is going to want to do a "hybrid" look, wearing one of my Series 5 shirts with the Series 6 tweed - and the other part of me - the stickler for accuracy, will be forced into wearing a seemingly plain shirt.
Though I still will keep and wear my Series 5-ish tweed, I can always rotate between looks.
If the bowtie thing is still in the works, I would love to get in on one!
But with DW, I would like to try the series 6 look with a regular shirt a few times but I just don't think it has the same overall effect (especially in person) when wearing those bowties with the matching colored shirt.
