Quick look at the chin guns, again still a little smoothing to do and I need to build that outer guard detail that goes over the back, as well as the detail in the center of the "wheel"
For some reason i used the think that the whole gun recoiled under the chin, then after watching an old
ESB making of special I realized that the gun was split in the middle horizontally and only the bottom half recoiled while the upper guard stayed attached to the floor of the head. Engineering this was a bit tricky and i am pretty happy with the way it came out, the back slides smoothly over a 3/8 inch round rod while the top will stay firmly attached to the floor. That "wheel" detail is a cap that will be cast separately so that the biggest part of the gun can remain as light as possible...
