That is quite a while, no doubt. I'm confident that Bill will make good on the item but I'd stay on him pretty regularly until you receive it.

Well sometimes those pack burros are slow, but as long as you head them in the right directions they'll get there. Wilco will get it to ya.

No, we only stop trucks and cars carring loads of drugs or cash!

Ok....maybe one or two with old ladies from Indiana, but props and models are free to traverse the state with out problem as long as they don't need to stop at a rest area.

I ordered a BR Blaster kit from Wilco way back on September 3, 2010, after he said he had some in stock and could send it quick. It was supposed to be for a friends "Rachel" costume for a Halloween photo shoot.
Once October came, I wrote an email asking what was up and got responses saying "Your kit is packaged and ready to ship; should be going in the morning."
Then in November, I sent another email and got a response apologizing for the delay and asking me to send my address again.
I sent another email in January, this time no response.
Another email in February. No response.
This is the first time I've ordered anything from someone I found via the RPF. I'm giving the guy the benefit of the doubt, but I'm thinking this is a bit much? Is this normal for this type of business?

I hate to say it but this guy seems to have delivery issues. Personally if I was to order anything from them and didn't have it by the 30 day mark a would file a dispute period.

A couple of friends of mine bought me Jayne's 'Boo' pistol from Firefly for Xmas - this thing is riddled with bubbles and poorly trimmed. It's gonna take a TON of time to get this thing looking halfway decent.

Not to mention I can't seem to find the exact thread, but Wilco is now a recaster of at least one model.

The BR blaster i got from him had some flash but it wasn't a big deal, it took a while to get here though. Don't let the 45 day period go if you paid with paypal.

(not pointing finger at anyone in particular...)
Some people read others expirience with bad dealers (recasters, shoddy work, delivery issues, etc.) and decide that the price is too good so they deal with them anyway, despite our warnings. Then they have the nerve to come here and complain about their experience.
    Suck it up.

Actually if you're talking about me with this:

"(not pointing finger at anyone in particular...)
Some people read others expirience with bad dealers (recasters, shoddy work, delivery issues, etc.) and decide that the price is too good so they deal with them anyway, despite our warnings. Then they have the nerve to come here and complain about their experience.
    Suck it up."

I have to say that I only read GOOD things about Wilco here on the RPF, which is why I felt safe ordering from the guy.

But it seems that once someone posts something negative about someone, then suddenly all the people who have complaints come out about it. Compare the early posts on this thread to the posts after my complaint.

For now I'm just going to add your unpleasant command to "suck it up" to the icky experiences I've had since joining this discussion forum.

I really don't think Funky was aiming that at you. Actually I went against mixed warnings too and ordered. it took a bit and more than a few emails but Wilco finally got me the package.

I LOVE WILCO! Yes, they take forever to ship your stuff, but I love ever kit I have got from them. I know for a fact that I got WAY better stuff from them, and often faster, then most of the stuff I have bout in the "junkyeard". That's not to say there aren't good products here, but I have got a ton, that didn't live up to the hipe, at all. Wilco's stuff has had less cleanup then most of the kit's I have got here, and I love that they are done in black resin, insted of that white junk most around here use. (If my paint job gets scratched, I would much rather Black, or dark gray to show through, then WHITE!) Plus I like the smell of there resin, wall sanding it, much better then that awful white junk.

I have bot a lot from them, and I plan on buying a lot more.

Does anyone know were they went though. I haven't seen any of there stuff on ebay, for months, and I have a few things I would still like to buy from them.

I spoke to Bill a couple of months ago, and he told me he was never going to sell on eBay again.

I ordered something from him, but gave up after a month of waiting. He did refund me the money immediately though.

Am of course not going to go into any detail, but he is currently going through something that makes selling kits very secondary.

    Thanks for the info.

I'm sorry to here he is going through a tuff time...... Um.... but every time I have talked to him (through ebay) over the last 4 or 5 years, he tells me a different sad story. I get my stuff, in the end, so I don't mind it, but I have to say, he is eather a ....um.... "story teller" or he has the worst luck in the world. I'm Ever time I've talked to him, he has either just had a death in the family, or has been hurt in some awful accident, or something like that. Not to make fun, but at this point, if his stories are true, he just may have lost every member of his family, and broken ever bone in his body. But aside from the storys, I love his work, and he seems like a nice guy, so I hope, if something bad really is going on in his life, it clears up soon for him.

I hate selling on ebay these days myself. (awful fees, and really dumb buyers, and that don't read anything at all) So I can't blame him for not wanting to sell there any more. I just hope He will find an outlit for his stuff. There are a lot of things I would like to get off of him, at some point.
