Do you have blueprints of the ship,or are you just going by screen shots for the build.The detail in your work is amazing.
I bought the Burger King glasses because there are the only - fractional - blueprints of the ship, so far as I know. Then I make a "frottage" of it to get on paper. Don´t know an english word for this method - it means to rub a smoth graphit pen over a paper to get details from a relief. After scanning I draw a Vector blueprint in Illustrator. This is used for the proportions and size comparsion of the elements. Also to build a rough 3d model of the head in Cinema4D to get the shape of the ribs.

In English we call that 'a rubbing'. Some people go to churches and make 'brass rubbings'.
