Thanks Scratchy!
I've been following this from the beginning. Very inspiring!

I spent some time away from this build, and I was working on this little gem. It's a 1/2256 Nebulon B from Anigrand. I added more detail to it, once it's finished I'll see about some better pics.

Two more noob questions.
- what glue do you use?
- what are you using to mount the model?
Thanks Scratchy!
Well, finally found some time for the ISD, I finished off the Port side of the front of the tower
The following pics are re-shoots with my camera, a little better quality, here is the small hanger, followed by the large hanger

Looking great Jay !
Will cast some of the parts you scratchbuilt as they are used dozens of times in the superstructures ?
Keep up the good work !![]()
No, I most likely won't cast any parts that I scratch, and I will admit that that is the more intelligent way of building the details. I cut pieces and glue them on as I go. Something like the secondary engines, yes, but I don't see myself spending the money on extra rubber for that, I'm only making one.
Besides, I have a LOT of styrene to use up.
Thanks for the kind words MonsieurTox.
Here are a couple more pics of the bridge, I've added some more detail to the star board side
These pics are just another re-shoot with a better camera, covering the bridge details again,

Thanks for the compliment Balboa.
I threw on some additional detail on the front face of the bridge. I just have some more for the top left corner to put on, touch it up a bit, then I can start on the back end.

I love this work. I'm not sure mine will be as nice, but here's hoping..I especially like the hangar bays, my favorite parts.
Man, that must be a big coke can, lol.
As usual, spectacular work.
Ozzy
Here's the last of the details for the front of the Command Tower. Now I'll finish off the back side.
Thanks for following along![]()
question what is most of the ship parts are made out of?
thanks and one more think what do you use to cut it out with hobby knife or something else?
thanks for the info , you have inspired me to build my custom ship =)
I'm also from canada my self
thanks
C
Glad to hear it, I'll be looking forward to seeing some of your work.
that's no can, that's a battle station.
I love this model. I can't believe how much detail you've crammed into it, especially at this scale.
If you ever need some inspiration there's a 3d modeler (Fractalsponge) who does some really cool imperial SD stuff:

Thank you Bantha Fodder and Shadowman.
Here's a small update, I made a couple detail parts for the back of the command tower. Here's the piece at the left corner already glued on.
I scratched up these two detail parts, I believe it's "skirt armour" from a tank that was used on the studio model,
Here they are glued to the back
I thought now would be a good time to finish roughing in the top level of the Superstructure before I add any more details to her.....

Incredible Im at a lost for words but one, EPIC! amazing talent great job, so much detail and patience, i love the led lighting work
Thanks Konan2009, patience isn't the word I would use..... more like obsessive compulsive![]()
Just finished roughing in the superstructure, now I have something to detail. I'm satisfied with the shape even thought there is some lense distortion form the camera. Once the detail gets on, it'll look wider.
