robot?

Im not real sure where to post this.... im trying to make a working model of a dragon. Working as in walking/ moving head/ wings (flying slightly above ground would be cool to if possible). My problem is I really dont know where to start, the only information I can find is on little wheeled robots. I would love any information that you could share thanks!
