Just finished up my FineMolds kit.
Great kit but I did have to modify the nose and add a little extra to the cockpit.
The only decals used were on R2 and the flight display.
Ralphee if you are reading this I hope you don't mind but I used your superb CC build for reference where mine was lacking.
    Hope you like her.

    Thanks for looking

Hey, if you hadn't mentioned FineMolds.............I'd have thought this was a full Studio Scale model. Nice work!!!

Great work ! I like it very much !

But one question (i saw these on some studio scale build ups too): Why the green on the rear ?
There was never anything green on Red 5. Just curious.

Well i can see a grey/green panel flanking the R2 strip, its not plain white thats for sure, my best guess it was pretty much similar to the design used on Red 3, nobody can say yes or no unless they had access to the prop way back in its golden age!

I think she looks great Craig, job well done!

Thanks for the nice comments guys.
As for the green strip near R2 and inside the lower right wing. I think it is a LOT more grey than I used but when I was slowly adding Tamiya Sky Grey to Tamiya NATO Green I got to this shade and liked the contrast it gave to the overrall effect. So I went with it.

I've found a few references and the gray is a tad more towards green than blue in those areas. I think mine will be toned down a little more, but I still love the greenish gray look.
