Hi, was wondering what type of material would be best in order to make an object bend and stay in that pose and would not break or cause damage to the piece. For you information I want to put bendable wires into my predator masks mandibles which are partially open so they can close and open again. Anyidea how to do this and what materials I would need in order to protect the latex. Bear in mind the mandible section is already foam filled. ANy help?

Any wire will break eventually, if bent back and forth enough. You may want to look at the thicker gauge "armature wire" you can get at art supply stores... it's soft, and bends pretty easily... but I think that will let it fail faster when severely bent and re-bent.

Those cheap lamps, with the metal flexi pipe/hose for positioning, try find something like that, it wont break, and its thin enough to fit in your mandible, that could do it.

One source of "bendable wire" is the aluminum rod that architectural students use or wing-prop makers use for armature. "But where do I get this?" you ask.

Look up aluminum in the left search bar. Then look to the right and you want rods and discs. Only you know exactly what size you need - but to get it bendable, choose the 6061 alloy.

If they say it ships out today, you'll probably get it in 2 days. They're that fast.
