Did anyone ever make a kit of this? It seems like it would be an awesome kit/diorama to have for fans of the movie.

The only comment I have to offer is that I beleive the porportions were not true to life, to achieve forced perspective.
there is a great thread about this over on the Planet of apes forum
WOW, That's nice! I have a garage kit that someone else produced, but I think FANTAMATION'S is better.
I didn't make this, a buddy of mine made this years ago
Those maniacs! They shrunk it! awww damn you, they shrunk it down all to hell!
Very cool. Yeah the proportions are screwy but i bet there is a way to still make it look good.
True. I'm glad I'm not the only one who would like one. To be honest i'd love dioramas of the buried NYC and even the melted city above. I'm a huge post apocalyptic fan so dioramas of ruined cities would sell to me lol.
I'd love to see (or make) a diorama of the underground mess from Beneath, myself! The New York Stock Exchange comes to mind...![]()
I wish i had the patience to build that kind of thing. You could make it a small scale for shelf display but still have good details.
Glad I could overload someone with projects besides myself![]()
I've got a great little toy version of the statue made by Medicom in storage somewhere. Here is a site with a pic:

I used to keep it on top of a big bowl of spare change in the living room. Every once in a while a houseguest would actually know what film it was from and have a laugh.
I've been obsessing over Battlestar Galactica recently; it's time I rode the Hassline curve a bit!
Lindberg Models produced a styrene kit of the Statue of Liberty. Of course, you'd have to chop it in half, weather it, and scratch build the base yourself, but it's an option.![]()
Very true. And I've always had fewer issues with their kits.
