    Jul 18, 2012 - Oscar EW-5894 from Hot Shots! (Folland Gnat) #1

I used the brand new Airfix 1/72 Folland Gnat kit to make this little monstrosity, along with some scrap decals and others printed on an ALPS printer. So, here is Topper Harley's jet from Operation "Sleepy Weasel".

The pictures aren't the greatest as I shot these rather quickly. I'll shoot better ones soon.

Anyone have a hot dog I can grill?

Thanks guys! I would love it if Airfix would do a Gnat in 1/48 (and it would still be a tiny jet).

    Great build, Jay

Love the decals on the tanks. It's the one detail I'm missing on my build.

This could be the start of a great diorama. Hot shots never gets any love and when you think about it there are a lot of things you could make models out of.

Thanks Fred. I also appreciate the help you gave me for some details (such as that very TINY tail number).

Yes, I have been considering a possible diorama for this bird. But I am working on something else right now. I fancy perhaps at least having a guy carrying a bomb over his shoulder on the flight deck.

Nope, no chihuahua dog on the seat. As funny as the movie was, that dog bit got a little old after the second time they pulled it (and I think they did it four times).
