Figgered this thread was probably the best place for this, since we lack a dedicated CG or drawings section. Anyway, what with all the recent Nostromo love I decided I want a nice big model some day. (By big, I mean "huge".)

So, if I'm ever going to put that much effort in, and assuming I someday have a workbench again, I'm going to need good drawings, right? Space Jockey's drawings are *beautiful*, but for various reasons I've started from scratch. I wanted a 3d version anyway to test various proportional fiddles and suchlike, so I thought I might post some renders. Here's my landing claw. There's more in the works but this is the first bit I'm happy with. Whaddyathink? Look about right?

Business end and office end, office absent without leave however.

That's all for now. Hull still needs a ton of revisions. I think I've solved a few puzzling bits of geometry though - happy with that! I'll post more some time once it is less of a WIP.

They sure are, but he was always pretty open about that fact wasn't he?
