Hello my name is Nick. Just recently just completed a 1977 R2-D2 that I purchased on ebay.







This was the first I attempted model with a "gritty" look...I also do movie cars and TV Cars, and I am still working on my Ghostbusters movie Replica Proton Pack.

So I started working also on a Return of the Jedi C-3PO and sprayed him with a Dupli Color Gold...It looks bad , tried brake fluid and will use the oven cleaner next. If I can't get the Dupli Color Gold off...what should I use???

I have been able to remove 30 year old model enamel with Super Clean.

That R2 looks great! Very nice weathering on him. Good luck with the 3PO. I will aslo say use the Super Clean. Works wonders. Just make sure to wear rubber gloves. I didn't and it took all the oils out of my hands and dried them out real bad for a week.

I can tell you from very recent experience (as in, 2 days ago) that SuperClean works crazy good at getting enamel paints off plastic.
