    May 8, 2012 - Neca 7" Conan repaint #1

Decided to do this on a whim today.

I always felt the 7" "War Paint Conan" was never a true depiction of how
Conan looked in the Mountain of Power sequence as the "white" part of his
body paint camouflage is practically non-existent:

So I went ahead and tried my hand at a repaint of my figure:

Went with a watered down white acrylic. Basically trying to go over the flesh
parts without laying it on too thick.

I also tried to keep some realism to it, in that the war paint would not be
even all over and would have rubbed off in areas like his armpits and the
    palms of his hands.

His face is probably where I tried to go the lightest (mostly in case I screwed
    it up ).

The back- this is obviously where I started from as the paint is pretty thick
(and I kind of went over his black camo lines *oops* ). No big deal as
it won't show in my display case.

All in all I'm happy with the result. I definitely think it is an improvement over
    the original look.

    That's a huge improvement.

Maybe you could airbrush some black areas on the blade of his sword too. In the film, it shows them holding their swords above the fire to create patches of soot, mimicking their camo paint.

I think your repaint looks great! Huge improvement over the factory paint.
Neca did a good job on the sculpt as well.

    Many thanks guys!

And thanks Nexus6 for the reminder about the sword camo; I'm going to do that next! I don't own an airbrush, however I think I can simulate it with railroad model paints.
