Holy projects, well you've got your work cut out for you lol

Ain't that the truth,I be very busy for a long time, the worse part for me is I can main work on these during the summer months here in NY,as I do not have a heated garage for painting wise,I can do everything else..there is still a few more resin kits I want and few other non resin kits,my main concern is lighting as I have no skills in electronics so I am trying to learn as I build each and every one of my models..

Indeed ... I see you already put the Disney touch to your STAR WARS ;) ... and if I may inquire what brand is that Battlestar Galactica model in the 5th picture from the top?

Hello Chaim,

Yes that is some of the Disney memorobilia I pickup in Florida in October 2013 I was down there for a entire month.I wished I could have stayed down there, lol

That is the Mike Salzo TOS Battlestar Galactica it measure 37.1/2 inches long,he is a member here.you can contact him here on the forum..his forum name is mslz22, the one you see int he 5th picture is my first one I bought from Mike and I also had some one build it for me,so I decided to order another kit from Mike that you will see in the 9th picture. I will build this kit myself this time..so the one you see in the 5th picture will be going to my younger brother..

Stop buying start building, they are useless in boxes lol!!!

I will I am just collecting a lot models before I do start any building,I am also trying to recoup from a back surgery I had not to long ago so it is hard for me to sit for any major length of time right now..

I recently just added a new model to my collection,it is the Monster In Motion War Of The Worlds Martian War Machine 1/35 Scale Model Hobby Kit,I do how ever have a question for you all who have done models of War Of The Worlds how many of the Martian War Machines do you need to make the Diorama is it 2 or 3 as I would like to do one?

Here is a picture of the kit it is made of resin and there is a total of 6 pieces..

I agree with you NY in the winter is not for Modelers with out heated garages. Neat stash,I'm looking forward to adding the 37 inch Salzo to my collection! Thanks.

Vader, You will need 3 martin ships, but 2 will work. still looks good with 2. This is how I did mine. Looks like your going to need more shelfs. Thanks Jim

Vader, Here's something that might work for you in the winter months you can build you a box out of 1/2 inch plywood don't put a bottom in it, make this the size you need buy you a box fan a couple of ac filters and bam you got your self a spray booth air brushing doesn't put out that much over spray and this booth will work perfectly for your painting, Ive done this with complete perfection I do alot of custom painting Ill have to get some pics so you can see some of my work, my truck is all air brushed with predators. looks cool! Thanks Jim

Thanks kermet for the advice,I going to try something this winter but my landlords may object to it but will have to wait and see..

Yeah I still need to order 3 more martian ships to get the real effect of a diorama..

I got a couple more models today I need to post tomorrow...I definitely will have to make something I am also going to figure away to even hang them from the ceiling at least some of the mid size models..

Not yet waiting on some LED's coming out of China, looks like they be here sometime in the middle of October that is what happens when you look for the cheapest place to buy from.they take for ever to get from China to the USA..

Man Clarence, what a collection I love all the star trek models all very cool for sure, when you start building don't get overwhelmed. I had a model mass at one time and kinda got overwhelmed a bit take your time and enjoy what you are creating. You need to get the spindrift from the land of the giants and the bikini girl that holds it they have two diff. sizes on Ebay, this will be one of my next kits along with the girl holding the spindrift. I also got the liife size terminator off Ebay this is a very cool and costly kit almost 2000 for it but I love it. Keep us posted . Thanks Jim

Thanks Jim,

Yeah my collection is getting quite big that much is for sure,I do not plan on building more then one at a time unless it is a really simple build, but most of my builds will not be to simple as I am planing at least on lighting each and everyone one of them..

As you know the first build will be my Mike Salzo BSG,but the lighting is what I need to figure out, even though I have asked for help on this it is still confusing as hell to me,call me dunce (i was always the very slow learner in school had to go through special classes on certain classes) as it is just very hard for me to understand the lighting part,I wish I could find a good You Tube video on how to install Fiber Optics to a switch on the base then using the same switch to get power from the wall plug outlet..

The other thing is getting everything working of it's own switch but yet only needing one power source for all the lighting and switches..

Hope I made sense..

Clarence
