MPC X-Wing build/paint

After reading that MPC x-wings were used in ESB and ROTJ, I knew I had to get one and paint it up. I'm not doing anything to modify the kit itself, but am just trying to give it a paint job that mimics what is seen on the props. The kit is so much smaller than I thought it would be, so painting it has been slow as I've been using small stencils to get spray details in; trying not to overdo the weathering. I have no access to an airbrush, so most of the weathering is done with gray and black primer (finer spray) and subtle washes here and there.

So far it's kind of fun but slow progress as I'm working on it a little bit each week. I'll post progress photos in this thread!

Thanks! I added a few more of the colored parts before going into the weathering a bit more later.

Haven't worked on this in a long time! I've started it up again, it's getting there! Just need to add a few small finishing touches and then work on the stand it will sit on. Seeing all the episode VII spy pics has gotten me interested in Star Wars again.
