Aug 31, 2011 - Moebius mark VII conversion to mark VII-E /Pegasus Starbuck ---DONE--- #1

For my second viper build I'm taking a mark VII and converting it to a Mark VII-E as seen in razor that Starbuck was flying. You can buy a kit to help but you will need to do some work to it to make it work well, more on this in the build. I'm also going to do the cockpit in a black color an idea i got from some pictures of one that i saw from a digital creations from a Mr Tony Celliers that i liked.

Working on the cockpit its coming together and starting to take shape but there still quite a bit to do in this area. I also started to modify the nose ,although the kit comes with a replacement nose cone the shape is all wrong so I'm adding putty to it to give it the basic shape that it will have, than I will detail it up.This will take a little bit seeing i will have to use many layers and let them dry. Not sure if its going to work but i have another plan if it don't.

Worked on the body today got most of the top half together. I didn't like the nose piece when i was taking the shots it to long so i cut 3/4 " out of the length. This will help it look more like the real ship but I'm only going to get it so close.

    Ship with the longer nose:

    Hello! Cylon75!

I read to enjoy your thread.
Because I don't have any information about mark VII-E, please teach me about difference between mark VII and mark VII-E.
Are there any difference other than the shape of the nose?

OK i caved! the nose was bothering me to much. So I'm remaking the nose piece out of a piece of abs plastic. The nose is coming out pretty nice so far but the real challenge is going to be blending it to the main fuselage.

wow, you sir are damn gutsy to chop off the nose like that. I wouldn't have gall to do that! Excellent paint job, what color did you use for the main body? The weathering is sweet as well, was this a shoe polish job or something different?

Love looking at your builds, keep it up!
