I want to make a steel or bronze casting on Mal's hero gun from a cheap plastic replica and wanted to know if anyone knows of somewhere around the Washington DC area were I could get this done or that just has the equipment so I might be able to help with this operation?
I can provide the scrap metal but I will need help with making a sand casting of this gun.
PS. Would it be easer to make a wax copy of this gun and form the sand around it? If my understanding is right, the wax would evaporate (maybe?) as the hot metal poured in. Is that right?
