"I Am Legend" Shelby GT 500

Hey fellas

Here goes my next movie model, the 2007 Shelby GT500 which was driven by Will Smith in the opening scene of "I Am Legend". It´s a Revell kit and except for a slighty lowered chassis it´s completely built out of box. The kit has everything you need to make an accurate replica. White stripes and even a correct dealer license plate is included in the kit. Parts and decals fit great and there are a lot of nice details under the hood.

Some days it is, mostly for court cases. Trial exhibits. We do alot of different things. Models are a small part of it. Mostly we crash cars and blow things up.

I´ll post a pic of the undercarriage as soon as I have my next photo session. But there´s nothing special underneath, just an unweathered plain jane. It´s as clean as the engine bay.

Did you guys know that there was originally a scene filmed, where Will Smith´s movie character stole the car from a dealer showroom? He jumped the car through the display window and took it for a ride as seen in the movie. There was also another scene where he did a car jump in the streets. The scenes were later edited out of the movie before it was released. Here´s a video of the street jump:
