Horizon ED 209 kit

Hey guys, what is the height of the Horizon kit of ED 209. Also does anyone know what the full scale height was ? Working on a project and need a little help.

When assembled, the Horizon ED 209 is 11 inches tall, 12 inches deep and 10 inches wide. I'm not sure what the full scale size would be but maybe a close guess could be made assuming the men standing by ED 209 are about 6 feet. I hope this helps.

Its 1/9 scale.I think it stands about 10" maybe 11" but that might be a little overzealous.I have one I've been trying to sell.Well,actually...I've been attempting to sell the pair (Ed&Robocop).Lots of bites and an offer here and there,but nothing solid.

Depending on the accuracy of the kit and it's scale, at 11 inches the full scale would be about 8 feet 3 inches tall. Is this the kind of info you're looking for?

Just to complete the info., according to Horizon the depth would be about 9 feet and the width about 7 feet 6 inches. I have this kit also so if you need any other measurements let me know. I'd like to see pictures of your project when you get it started.

Well the Cinefex Book and the net says that the fullsize one is 7 feet tall. Phil Tippett is on my facebook so maybe I will ask him.

The cinefex also says Craig Davies but some of the web say Craig Hayes. Anyone knows why this is ? Also is there a making of video or DVD ? There is a making of ED-209 on Youtube but I don't know what from.

Hi there,

The Horizon kit is 1/9th scale, but the 1/1 scale prop used in the movie, was 7 feet tall, in power- down, (Hunched), mode. This link may help.

Hands down, the best (and I mean THE BEST) ED-209 kit out there was made by Argonauts.It is a smaller scale, but the detail and acuracy packed in that little kit is something to see. Alas, being long discontinued and out of production they are extrodinarily hard to find and REALLY EXPENSIVE. I paid through the nose to buy direct from a seller out of Japan. 99% of the time the ones I did see here on EVIL

BAY auction in the U.S were almost always partially assembled by a novice.You could guarante almost all the time that there was heaps of paint caked on it hiding all of that gorgeous detail and that there were either missing or broken parts and it was sloppily put together.The last one I saw looked like a lump of mottled polymer clay.It must have been primed and painted several times over.You could barely tell it was old "ED".So, my hat's off to ya if you can find an Argo kit of ED-209, even more so if you can get one for less than what I paid for it.Typically it sells for more than the "Argonauts Cain", and that one wasn't cheap either.
