Haystack Hair's MPC Falcon Upgrade Kit Thread

If you're not going through several versions of things before you're satisfied then you're either doing it wrong or you're not a human

I wanted the hasbro falcon to be my last one but.....
I think I would be insane not to but one of theses kits for the future, I want :)

Quick update for you my friends, my MacBook packed up and died last week so I've been unable to get online since then.

Jem and I are both working on the instructions and casting at the moment and the February release date still looks promising.

It's a little tricky to be doing such an ambitious project whilst we are still both in art college and very busy with our artwork for that, plus our lives in general, so I'm sure you will all be understanding about where we're at with this kit, and whether or not we can get it to you all by February.
Remember, I need to have a stock of at least 14 before I'm going to make them available, and that's a fair amount of time and work which goes into producing them

I'll hit you all with some more WIP photos later on, in the meantime, check out my new MPC Falcon conversion that I'm doing currently, I gave the old one to Jem for him to hack about.

Looks awesome! Very professional. That's packaging I would save

Thanks Blake! That means a lot to me.......we are also getting the instruction booklets professional bound and they will contain reference, history and other information as well as the assembly diagrams

Here's a better photo of the box (not a nasty iPhone one)

A brief update for everyone regarding my MPC Falcon upgrade kits:

We've had some unexpected delays with the instruction booklet due to a nasty virus making the rounds , plus some scheduling conflicts I hadn't accounted for.
We hope to release within the next two weeks, andt here will be ONLY 12 kits available, first come first served

We'll be releasing the kits as soon as the instruction booklets are printed and bound, but apart from that it looks like we have a solid 12 kits ready to roll!
These are about as hand-made as they come

I'll only start accepting orders and payments once I know that everything is 100% finished and ready to ship, I just don't want to feel rushed to ship kits that I know aren't ready, I'm sure you all understand

Nice but, only 12? and that's it? Never again? Buh-bye? LOL! Im about finished with my MPC and will take the Hasbro next, but dont know if ever I will take on another MPC, specially since Revell will put out the FineMolds Falcon in the near future. What to do???:unsure

Too much work to produce any more, at least two of the moulds need re-moulding and I want to focus my materials into new kits!
